Difficult to find, the Hertz website uses a different name and address. It is not clear where to park (I returned a car here after beginning from a differemt location). The staff did not know how to adjust the payment when I paid with debit (there is a surcharge if you use a credit card which is removed if you pay with debit)

SCAM!! Made a reservation days before, paid online, called to confirm the same day… when I got to the office they said the only car available was one 3 times more expensive, this is a scam!!!

When I received the Dodge Caravan 2019 vehicle on 7/02/2021 there were scratches literally everywhere in the van, however, at the check in, the Hertz employee constantly pointed at the $350 usd daily fee in case I would return the rental with a scratch. Question: why have they not fixed all the scratches they charge people for before the next rental? Anyway, scratches and little bumps(video attached). In addition to the poor condition of the exterior, inside the van the courtesy lights did not work, the cruse control was not working and to say the least a lemon when driving it, the van vibrated at a 60 miles/hour speed. Right off the bat, we were not provided with a second vehicle choice even though the call center employee assured they would have two option vans to choose from. Security deposit is another bummer, over the phone at the time we booked the rental van, Hertz asked for a $250 deposit , however , when we picked up the van the deposit changed to $330 that they put your credit card on hold, no explanation was given to us for that change. One more issue, steering wheel controls like volume did not work. Oh ! the employee at the check in said if I did not read the small letter in my contract or did not like the poor condition of the car, I could write my name in the “waiting list” for another van. Unbelievable! The last sentence is to say I learned by a friend that the car rental companies are not regulated by the Mexican government , which means you are on your own.

Rented a car one week in advance, arrived as scheduled and they let me know they do not have my car or any other cars and that they will call me whenever they have one. I have to be in a wedding and know I'm at risk because they didn't even have the courtesy to send me an email or call me to let me know they wouldn't have a vehicle.

Terrible experience. We had a reservation and there were no cars available, which screwed up our trip. The agent was completely unhelpful. Don’t know how a car rental agency accepts reservations when there are no cars. 10/10 do not recommend.

I tried to rent a car in Playa del Carmen and it was the worst rental experience ever. I had a reservation to pick up at 9pm. According to hertz webpage the office closes at 10pm. I arrive at 9.10pm and Mr. Alberto Jauregui tells me that they are closed and that they had no cars left. After some discussion he says he has a Jetta available but it is not the car I rented, when I tell him to upgrade me, he says he does not have the key. We lost hotel reservations and guided tour reservations because of the lack of service of the company. Really unprofessional.

Never ever use this company to Rent a car, this is a scam. The screw me and my family on Christmas Eve plans, we were supposed to go visit my family after 10 years trusting this rental company for our trip. They didn’t have a car available for us. They wanted to up sale the most expensive car. Anyways don’t rent never here they will steal your money. Worst experience ever Rodrigo
