Hidden Beach Resort - 77710 Playa del Carmen

TRAVELERS BEWARE!!! They say if you contract Covid while staying in their resort they will give you a room for 50% off, then they’ll tell you $150 UDS per day. When you go to checkout from your isolation that includes the worst possible room, NO coffee, no snacks, and terrible, horrible, cold food for every meal….you find out they’re charging you more than double, they won’t let you leave until you pay, and they haven’t arranged for your transportation back to the airport. This nightmare is FACT, and it can happen to anyone. We were triple vaccinated, and we were asymptomatic. We followed along with all their rules, and paid exorbitantly for our room with the broken shower, broken toilet closet door, broken phone and tub that gurgled on its own all night. Thank you for putting smokers right below our room. Nothing like huffing someone else’s second hand smoke, while recovering from a respiratory virus. If you are going to travel down to a Karisma property- Eldorado Palms, Seaside Suites, Royale, Hidden Beach…I recommend packing extra everything. Extra medications, extra snacks, extra clothes, freeze dried coffee, vitamins, etc. And before they hustle you out of your room to isolation, grab ALL your booze!! You will SO thank me!! PS: We paid $385 UDS per night for our Covid isolation room; we paid $315 USD for our luxury room next door at Hidden Beach.

The setting and ambience is spectacular but what really makes it outstanding is the staff! Ula greeted us when we arrived and was always available to met any special requests. We could not have found a better ambassador! The service is the best we have ever had at any resort anywhere and the amenities, beautiful beach, laid back atmosphere, personal attention and limited number of guests make this a fantastic place to relax and have fun! All of the staff are great but special kudos to Arni and Angel in the outdoor restaurant and Esperanza who does an incredible job serving drinks on the beach. All of the bartenders at the outdoor pool were outstanding! For anyone contemplating an “au natural” vacation that is stress free, fun and unintimidating this is the place!

Exceptional experience at the clothing optional resort. The grounds are exceptionally well appointed, room for a, but not ultra luxury. Will return. A The Wi-Fi and Internet access are very very strong throughout resort, and adjacent properties. Please note, that this resort enclosed area is extremely extremely small. The total private and close property is likely less than 3 acres. There is a lovely pool and oceanfront cabanas, but there is no on property nude beach. There is a sandy area that is well appointed with lounges and private cabanas, suited our needs well, but we would have liked a longer beach to walk nude on. Also, the recreational activities in the enclosed private resort are very limited, and we found that there was not much to do except lounge at the pool or the oceanfront area. Therefore our four days there were more than enough. Also note that outside the gates of the private property are adjacent resorts owned by the same company, which have all the amenities that I spoke of above, except closing required.

It was my first time at Hidden and I will definitely be back - in one way or another! I fell so deeply in love with the place that I’m begging them for a job! Overall, the food was amazing, the place is beautiful and secluded, the rooms are clean, cozy, and spacious, and staff and people that come to stay are truly wonderful people. I went to celebrate my 30th birthday and I was wowed by the service and kindness during my entire stay. Definitely recommend this place for true or new naturists!

My husband and I booked this resort for a couple days. The staff was amazing and incredibly helpful. The grounds were beautiful. Extremely clean and neat. We arrived late in the day and were seated for dining at the pool while we waited for our room. The food was amazing!

People here are great and friendly, staff are awesome, food and drinks so far has been great. Maintenance though needs to stay on top of repairs needed in the rooms, could be a shortage of staff during Covid not sure. They were quick to respond when we called but a room should be “make ready” when you move in for days. We had to call about several things our first day and we are not that picky, we just expected simple things to work like flush toilet, closet light, jacuzzi, and our safe in the room.

This is a one-of-a-kind place. It sets between two much larger resorts (that are not clothing optional) and, as a guest of Hidden Beach, you are able to use all of the amenities of the other resorts, then come back to your own little private place at Hidden Beach. This creates a dynamic where the guests of HB are kind of like a "club" and there is a ton of interaction and comradery with other HB guests, both at HB and in the other resorts. It is very cool. In addition to the great staff, the single best thing about the resort is Ula Szylak. She is the resort's personal Concierge and she is absolutely amazing. She is highly engaged, always available and she cares about the guests of HB more than anything I have ever seen or experienced. She is a great listener, she quickly understands what needs to be done and she jumps on every detail to ensure guests' expectations are met and exceeded. My wife and I can't say enough good about Ula, and there really is no way to understand her commitment to her guests without experiencing it. In addition, she is extremely kind, happy and positive all of the time. She brings joy to everyone as she walks around the resort many times each day. Obviously, we highly recommend this resort and it is largely due to Ula. As long as she is there, we will continue returning to the resort, she makes it worth it every time. My second time to an all natural resort. I felt so comfortable at Hidden Beach Resort. We enjoyed the daily activities with the resort instructor Andy. The staff is so friendly and professional & hard working to maintain the resort in the most upkept environment. We will definitely be back in the future!!
