The yakitori here is fantastic and is worth a visit. Do be aware of prices, particularly on their omakase selections, which has no special pricing. Some of the items are unusually expensive for what they are. For example, the nine slices of sashimi were just okay, and not worth $650. If I were to come again I’d just get a bunch of yakitori a la cart.

I had a decent experience at Hiyoko. I did not have any yakitori and perhaps that was my mistake. I had the other dishes which I felt was not very special especially for the high price. Good service and worth it to go for drinks and yakitori, but the rest of the menu is not that impressive.

Awesome! I enjoyed authentic Japanese Yakitori with my colleague tonight. It is in CDMX! Amazing.

Authentic yakitori-ya with premium ingredients and English-speaking staff. Hiyashi Jitomate - fresh heirloom tomatoes accompanied by a mayonnaise sauce that has a nice kick to it Pollo karaage - amazing gluten-free fried chicken that is juicy and tender. Must-order yakitori: 1. Bonjiri (chicken tail) 2. Momo (chicken thigh) 3. Negima (chicken thigh with green onion) 4. Tsukune (chicken meat ball with egg yolk marinate) Most of the yakitori dishes can be ordered without the sauce glaze (seasoned with salt instead) for a gluten-free alternative (except the tsukune). We are pleasantly surprised by the desserts. The fuwa fuwa pudín is a creamy goodness rich in vanilla beans. The lychee ice cream is ingeniously paired with shiso leaves that beautifully balanced the sweetness from the lychee. Overall an amazing yakitori-ya experience. Can’t wait to visit again!

High end Japanese restaurant, most of the food is served as mini-skewes (kind of the whole idea). The high level of esthetics and detailing of the dishes (as well as the decor) is really pleasing. The food was very good, with emphasis on the different tastes of each dish. We came 10 min. befor kitchen closing tome so the staff were tired. Although pricey, this is recommended. about $2,000 Mex/person.

An amazing-traditional Japanese restaurant! If you are a good lover of Japanese food, make sure you order an Omakaze, that’s when the chef has a free card to serve you what he wants you to try. It’s a great adventure for your mouth! Just make sure you let him know your dislikes/allergies. The dessert that has salt on it, don’t recall the name, a creamy one, it is just marvelous. It’s a very small place for like 10 people, so make sure you reserve on time.
