M	Mat Thias on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is twice on Google maps, it's actually called Barba Negra. Nice vibe but that's about it. After eating dozens of Tacos in Mexico, this place had the worst, some ingredients weren't fresh. Also tried a piece of the burger my friend had, it was horrible, not enjoyable food at all
s	sam swaels on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had the "lobster pizza" here... there is a reason it was cheaper. The only thing you tasted was the cheese that didn't even taste like anything. The pizza bottom was already predone in plastic and the lobster was just tiny bits from a frozen one. I wasn't gonna write a bad review untill the bill came for the drinks. The drinks were awesome. But it came with a tip of 15% which was a sugestion. I wanted it just to pay for the drinks and leave a tip that I chose. They took the 15% anyway even though I said I didn't want to pay the tip straight away. Shame. The drinks were great. But I hate when they take a automatic tip.
M	Mr. Cool on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been to this place several times and I really want to like it. The fish and shrimp tacos from Barba Negra are fantástico, especially with the diablo (spicy but so worth it) and the baja. Really well done. The tamarindo drink is also huge and delicious. Unfortunately, they need to stop letting the bartenders control the music with what they personally want to hear. In the middle of the meal they turned on incredibly loud, terrible dubstep. Like so loud it's difficult to have a conversation or hear the waiter. Nobody walks by and sees the nice decor and ambiance of the foodie market and wants it to sound like a "bad club at 2am". Their opening hours are a bit flexible. Once when I went they didn't open until 2pm.

However didn’t like the fact that they attract you telling they take credit cards for payments (we did not have cash) and show signs saying they accept it and only tell you when paying that it’s an additional 5% surcharge if you want to pay by credit card (without any signs). This is the kind of trap i’ve seen too often in Mexico unfortunately…
M	M Zevala on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food market with nice environment to hace something something to eat and drink. The drinks from barba Negra are good and price is totally fair! We had the Mayan fish tacos and fish tacos estilo baja. Both were very good!
A	Alex Chew on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite expensive depending on how long you’ve been in Mexico- we’re used to getting 5 tacos for 55 pesos, they’re charging 100 pesos for 3. The Diablo fish tacos are quite tasty, but I was definitely still hungry afterwards. Beers are 55 pesos but they also charge a service fee, so ended up being 125 for two beers. I think if you’re on an island vacation and you wanna ball out, this is a great place to do it! But if you’re a long term traveler, I would say skip this place and go eat at the street carts or many other mexican restaurants down the street.

Took just under an hour for some tacos two of which were cold, one was inedible (octopus). Also the live music was absolutely awful. Went to La Tapatia the following night which was far better, incredible food, great atmosphere and super friendly service.
K	Kai S on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were in love with this place! SO much so, that we came back here 4 times on our 5 day trip to Holbox. The tacos are sooooooo good ( just get one of each and fiest it out)! And so are the cheese fries, the wings and definitely the cocktails. As weird as it sounds, the Parsley Mojito is delish, and I definitely had a lot of those! If there’s a queue, do wait, as it moves really quick.
