Holiday Inn Ciudad de Mexico Perinorte, an IHG Hotel - 54010 Tlalnepantla de Baz

My stay at the Holiday Inn Ciudad De Mexico Perinorte was, as as Dickens says in a Tale of Two Cites, "it was the best of times, it was the worst of times." The worst first: the Perinorte is located in an industrial sector of a far-fling neighborhood far from the city center. Which was the way I needed it, this being a business trip and close to a client, but it was **really** isolated. You will need transport to and fro; just saying. The best of times: the rooms were fine, clean and maintained wonderfully every day. Housekeeping got the idea of extra coffee and cream refreshed in-room daily. The front desk staff are more than capable in English, and enthusiastic, and proud of their corner of Mexico. The antique cars out front add a nice touch. The best of the best was the food. Each and every one of the Mexican dishes delivered by room service offerings arrived hot and tasted great! The breakfast buffet, however, absolutely made the trip. A wide selection, with hand-made eggs, tacos, and empanadas, among other things, gave me a smile wide enough to last the entire day. I did not regret my time in the little Perinorte oasis, and would happily spend another week at the buffet :-)

I stayed here for a total of 6 months while doing some work in Mexico. The staff was helpful and provided us great service. We had one of the two bedroom suites and they were nice. Kitchen had working stove and they provided the dishes and helped cleanup as usual. The restaurant was nice with lots of buffet options and also the bar was great. Very mellow with a pool table upstairs.

The hotel is good just the food was terrible on the restaurant not to much option, dirty pool, and towels, mattress were so saggy and uncomfortable the waitress were very nice and helpful but the food was horrible

There were no distractions from the outside and the hotel is as great as you could imagine and even morr for the price you pay.

Prior to arriving we had told the staff that there would be 3 of us in the room. The room was not made up for 3 after the first day. We had o keep calling to ask for things for 3 guests like towels, coffee and toiletries. The hotel chain promised a clean and safe environment however the room cleaning left a lot to be desired. After we came back for the second night the room had been serviced but there was a the used coffee bag from the morning still in the coffee pot and the pot itself was not cleaned. The refrigerator didn't work either.

Llamé con anticipacion al hotel para verificar si tenian alberca techada climatizada me dijeron que si, yo le volvi a preguntar a la srta estas segura que puedo usar la alberca, voy con un niño de 3 años y se ilusiona bastante. Si no hay problema. Al llegar la alberca nefastamente fria que por que ese dia habian dado mantenimiento al sistema electrico o no se que rayos. Terrible por que claramente le habia preguntado al personal si se podia usar. Me dijeron que en un par de horas ya estaria climatizada, pues ni siquiera al dia siguiente se pudo calentar siquiera tantito. En el restaurante no me dieorn la periquera, segun no habia Terrible experiencia, por cierto las cortinas estan asquerosas llenas de polvo si puedes elige otro hotel por que todo ese polvo lo acabas respirando

Comfortable rooms, this hotel is in a non tourist area but industrial at the north of mexico city
