Pésimo servicio
Para nosotros fue la peor experiencia/ This is the worst hotel in Ixtapa, terrible service, for us it was the worst experience, we come from the United States all the way over here, then it turns out two of us can’t get in and need to pay more money, then we have 3 kids with us, they put kid bracelets on them but still got charged as adults, we are also pay twice as much as we did last time we came here, I recommend a different hotel!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a lovely time at the Holiday Inn Resort Ixtapa. Very friendly and helpful staff, fun activities, great food and service! The view was magnificent! Shout out to Hugo, Ulysses, Abril, Carlos, Lourdes, Adan, Cleophas, Manuel, Idelefonzo + many more!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My stay was probably the worst experience I have had in Ixtapa I have stayed at most resorts there. The food was old the service was terrible. There management team wasn’t very easy to get a hold off I will never stay at Holiday Inn resort Ixtapa. If I could give a lower score I would.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been here before Covid it was Great,now it was run down,dirty ,the pool was awful,food so so.They use to have kids on one side and quiet pool on other side,not any more.There was far too many people ,never seen it this full ,was awful .Pool bar wasn't open,one of the rooms our group had a leaky sink, hairdryer didn't work took forever to find another.The only good thing I can say is the staff is so friendly.Will not be back which is sad ,loved this place before,what has happened?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Listen, I gotta tell you this resort is pretty epic. Is this the most updated flashy resort in the world? No, but the service is just amazing. When I arrived in the lobby there was a long wait, and they immediately recognized I was a Spire, and moved me to the front of the line. Keep in mind, my room was not ready, but they offered me a private changing room to hit the beach right away, and a wristband for food and drinks. The room was totally spotless and the view was jaw dropping. They have a Mexican Fiesta on Saturday night, which is the REAL DEAL. They have street food, vendors, and amazing entertainment. I am so excited to come back to this part of Mexico. It was a joy to see Mexican citizens on vacation and having a blast. I am not sure why anyone could complain about the food as there is a ton of food and something for everyone. They have one restaurant right on the beach with a great little fresh fruit area. I am now obsessed with the Aloe Pineapple and Coconut Milk Drink. I left feeling like family with the service team. Does it get loud at night? Yes, it does, there are lots of celebrations. Would it be nice to have an adults only pool? Sure, but that will not change my review. I loved this Holiday Inn. As a Spire Elite IHG Ambassador, I can tell you this property has the service right, and the attention to detail is fantastic!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place but my family & I caught covid there. Although in all fairness its almost impossible not too with all the people there. Not a whole lot they can do I guess. However, the silverware & cups at the restaurants were always suspect.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This has been the worst hotel we’ve been ever.
It’s a complete disaster. Crowded every single day and lack of services. Let’s start with this list:
1. Rooms outdated
2. Long lines for check-in and check-out
3. Same food every day and very prone to food poisoning - we got sick twice
4. Hard to find help or assistance
5. Long lines and incredible outdated process to get a beach towel.
6. Beach chairs are all broken and dirty
7. You see empty glasses everywhere
8. Hard to access to snacks - the snack bar is small and limited in food. It works as a restaurant and not like a typical snack bar
9. The pool is disgusting
10. The beach is Ok, but you see dirt/garbage everywhere near the hotel area
11. Lack of cutlery in restaurants. You have to beg for it.
12. Zero empathy with people that are sick. They don’t let you get food from the restaurant (we got our son sick and starving in our room)
13. There’s a charge for everything.
We pay All-inclusive via Air Canada Vacations and this is a total rip-off. Holiday Inn needs to review its minimum standards
DO NOT COME TO THIS HOTEL!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great time with family! COVID protocols are in place with required masking anytime you interact with staff, and in common areas. The resort is nice. My only complaint is the "pool towel" retrieval and return process. They give you cards at check in and you're supposed to take the cards to the towel station. They hand you huge towels and check your room number, write down the towel number and you're off. I understand there has to be a reason for it. It's tedious. You also have to return the towels to the station before you check out. I have never had to do anything like that and it seems like a great point of improvement. Ease of use is key to customer experience because who wants to feel like they are working on vacation? The rooms are pretty but there's some humidity damage on the cloth shades. The towel bar in the bathroom had a loose screw. Overall, the price and service, food and amenities were appropriate. Staff is amazing!
