Holiday Inn Reynosa Zona Dorada, an IHG Hotel - 88560 Reynosa

I stayed at this Hotel while visiting my mom for the weekend. I loved how the staff was very kind and informative. The rooms were very clean, the in-wall safe did not work and the fridge was turned off but I’m guessing it’s for electricity saving reasons. There was a smell on the floor where I stayed which reminded me of sewage water, I did not bring it up to staff because I know they could not do anything about it, just a heads up if anyone is not fond of that smell. I slept great and had no trouble with lighting or noise, the internet was a bit slow too but I had good signal so I managed. Overall great stay with little discomfort.

Staff very nice helpful and friendly everything is nice and clean will be returning soon. Oh and great room service food is delicious and service is quick. Overall great place to relax and enjoy your stay.

Hotel is located near the bus station. Not too many eating options near, nor would I recommend walking around looking for any. The room was clean except for a hairball left in the shower drain from the previous guest, which made me wonder how well the cleaning actually was. The desk lamps could use some upgrading to newer ones with USB connections. That would be nice. Overall the hotel was decent but a little pricey. Free airport shuttle was available.

Air conditioner and refrigerator in my room were not functioning. The furniture and design of the room should be updated to be more modern. Lack of usb chargers was frustrating. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean, had prompt service, and food was delicious. If I visit the area again, I'm unlikely to stay here.

The hotel took 1 1/2 to get us into a room. The lobby smelled like sewage. And it was hot inside the lobby. It was very uncomfortable. When we finally received our room, it was disgusting. The room was not clean. The sheets had hair, the comforter had makeup. The restroom had pee stains and the sink was really dirty. I was so disappointed. I drove 6 hours and I was tired. They took about 1/2 an hour to get us into a room.

I had a terrible experience at this hotel. The quality of the room is perhaps the lowest I have ever experienced in any hotel chain, and definitely not what I expected by IHG's standards. There were several sanitization problems. When I opened the seat of the toilet, on the bottom part of it there were multiple fecal stains, which is evidence that this room was not cleaned, let alone sanitized. The water from the toilet tank was dirty and brown. I opened it to check and it was completely rusty, old and it disrepair. The water also went away which prevented the use of the toilet. The minifridge was open and not connected, so I couldn't use it. The front door swing guard was broken. The drape on the back window was broken. I couldn't close it properly for privacy. Also, the sink had a problem with water drainage. The stopper was clearly open, yet the water would just sit there. All of this, besides the bad smell of the hallways and the room itself put in evidence that this is definitely the worst hotel room from IHG I've ever stayed.

Very poor low hotel..no welcomings...no smiles..the front receptionist charged me 130 dolars..no breakfas.how much can i eat..!went in my room...seen 2 towels in the rack..no trashbags on trashcans...used towel that was hanging all crunchy and hard..no microwave..poor poor poor..ive worked at holidays inn in the US..and they always weloming people all over the world with a sweet smile..and always with prepared clean rooms...oh and always free breakfast to every customer! no passes required..i think 130 dls for one night and a free breakfast would make customer come back often..thnk you Cesar

Nice and clean, the staff and Service were wonderful help. left suitcase with staff and went to eat at their restaurants and the food is so great, order to eat hot, anything you want fruits are so fresher. Family came to eat with us at this place. Great place to stay, this is my third time staying with Zona Dorada when I go to Mexico. Love it. They also cleaned for Cov-19 daily.
