First time at Hooks. I'm a native Brit currently living in Querétaro so had to check it out. The fish and batter were great - lovely fresh fish and crispy crunchy batter. The chips, however, were undercooked. The curry sauce was very strange as well. All in all - not bad for a chippy on the other side of the world.

This is one of the best places I know in Querétaro. Great food and service. I obviously highly recommend the Fish & Chips but don't leave without trying the Bangers and Mash or a Beef Pot Pie. UPDATE: We have beers now!! So we get the whole package, Fish, Chips and Beer

This place is truly one of the most underappreciated gems I've ever come across. The fish was perfectly fried, flaky and tender and moist inside a beautiful shell of crisp batter. The chips were hot, fresh, and delicious. The sweet potato fries were excellent, gloriously dressed with honey for a light savory sweetness. Nicholas, the man behind this establishment, is a transplant from South London who knows exactly what he's doing in the kitchen and is putting out the best fish & chips I've ever had, despite my multiple trips to the UK. All served in comfortable, casual atmosphere that is very friendly. I'll definitely be back.

I heard about Hooks from an English friend who told me it was Excellent. I had to check it out for myself and I was certainly not disappointed . Nick, does an outstanding job of bringing the best of (our) beloved British cuisine to Queretaro. Even in Uk Fish and Chips can be “iffy” but this was wonderful . Authentic and fresh and utterly delicious. The batter is light and crispy and the fish is cooked perfectly. Served with plenty of chips cut the English way and a selection of condiments including Malt vinegar . I tried the coleslaw as a side and it was really good. We enjoyed apple pie for pudding and finished our meal with tea.(Not just any tea...but PG Tips...) Also on the menu are steak pie, chicken pie and British sausages. Unable to resist, I took home a package of Bangers and some steak pies. All authentic and delicious. I certainly recommend Fish and Chips at Hooks. The decor is friendly and cozy and service is excellent. Best of all Tuesday’s Nick offers 2 for 1
