The March, 2015 Doubles Croquet Tournament is now history. The Finals pitted Jim Wright and Lenore Maltzahn against George Mauzé and Joan Novell. George and Joan emerged as the winners by a score of 20-12. More than 40 spectators saw what was a marvelous, exciting match, with both teams making a lot of great shots and demonstrating solid strategy. We are very pleased that so many of our members participated in this tournament throughout the week, leading to today’s Finals. Hopefully, we’ll have even more in our next tournament.
Following the Finals, Jean and Gene Crane organized and implemented a great luncheon with roasted chicken and a whole raft of sides and desserts. Special thanks go to Jean and Gene for all of their work, and the contributions of many others, in making this a luncheon to remember.
