About Hospital San José
El Centro Hospitalario de San José se remonta a los años de 1600; fundada por una orden religiosa llamada los JUANINOS, siendo su fundador Juan de Dios.
Su nombre verdadero era Juan ciudad y Duarte, nacido en Monte moro Novo, Portugal en el año 1495. A los 8 años pasó a vivir a España, tierra que nunca abandonó, murió el 8 de marzo de 1550. Juan de Dios vivió a imitación de Cristo como humilde siervo, supo ver en el prójimo a un hermano, y en el cuerpo de éste a otra criatura hecha a imagen y semejanza del creador. Este es el carisma de la orden Juan de diana, fue llamado: “Juan de Dios Granada será tu Cruz”.
Dice la historia que este Hospital fue uno de los primeros en América Latina. Los Juaninos tenían como misión fundar Hospitales, favoreciendo la atención de los más necesitados, con la característica de edificarlos contiguamente a Atrios Religiosos, como es el caso de este Hospital que colinda con la Iglesia de San Juan de Dios.
Este hospital cuenta con un antecedente histórico de 400 años.

You have good doctors, the treatments are very accurate and timely. I was well cared for during my cesarean delivery and I really liked the hospital food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Centro hospitalario muy céntrico y con una atención personalizada muy recomendable. Cuánta con todo tipo de especialistas además de laboratorio y rayos X para todo tipo de estudios. Cuánta también con una farmacia con buen surtido de medicamentos. Tiene servicio de emergencias las 24 horas del día durante todo el año.
Very central hospital center with highly recommended personalized attention. How much with all kinds of specialists in addition to laboratory and X-rays for all kinds of studies. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fui por un catarro y me querían internar. Se notaba la urgencia de querer hacerme más exámenes de lo que necesitaba. No fue una buena experiencia y meten un poco de miedo al paciente.
I went for a cold and they wanted to admit me. There was an urge to want to take more tests than I needed. It was not a good experience and they scare the patient a bit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Les daría un 5 si respetaran mas el uso del celular con el volumen muy alto, el turno de noche muy ruidoso y no teniendo en cuenta que hay enfermos graves y tal vez muriendo.
Algunos, no todos se tardan en ver al enfermo para dar su medicamento o lo que es necesario hacer.
Pero la mayoría incluyendo los doctores muy amables, se ve que les gusta su trabajo y atentos con los enfermos.
El hospital muy limpio, el personal de limpieza atento a hacer su trabajo, y bien hecho ?
Digo el enfermo no esta ahi gratis y ni quiere estar ahi, nadie quiere y menos ahora con la crisis tan grave con la que estamos pasando, traten mas que la estancia del enfermo sea mas cómoda.
I would give them a 5 if they respected more the use of the cell phone with the very high volume, the very noisy night shift and not taking into account that there are seriously ill people and perhaps dying.
Some, not all, take time to see the sick person to give their medicine or what needs to be done.
But most of them, including the very kind doctors, are seen to like their work and to be attentive to the sick.
The hospital very clean, the cleaning staff attentive to do their job, and well done ?
I say the patient is not there for free and does not want to be there, nobody wants and less now with the serious crisis we are going through, try more that the patient's stay is more comfortable.
