I made an appointment in the morning for 530, by the time I arrived the doctor had left and they hadn't even called and left a voice mail, I live one hour away. They were rude and did nothing to compensate. Not to mention the cost of consultation is higher than most places and they don't even properly cancel appointments. Rude staff saying it's too inconvenient work for them to leave voice-mails (not inconvenient for me to drive 2 hours round trip)

My hotel sent me to this place. They will make you pay for your labs upfront, then add expensive tests without informing you (or informing you what the additional cost is) until after they already do it. Complained, and was told its “your word against ours”. They will lie to your face and try to squeeze every single dollar out of you they can. Scam artists. I was refused a prescription for my infection even after my diagnosis. I ended up buying the Penacilin I needed for my infection at a local drug store for under $25 vs. the $400+ they were attempting to double charge me for

My wife is ill and the treatment she received from Hospiten was atrocious. She needs a CAT scan of her brain because a Tumor , we live in Playa Del Carmen and drove an hour to get this test. They then raised the price higher from quoted. They said they would honor it then said no, creating stress for my wife which is not good for her condition. Anyway we walked out , for they were not helpful, we went to CHOPO which was half the price. In addition Hospiten missed an important aspect for this type of procedure, she was not to eat 12 hours before procedure, which is really bad for a hospital to make an error like this and produced inaccurate results. Thankfully they were idiots and we left Mostly what drove me to write this review was the treatment we received from receptionist and Public Relation girl. So , changing prices and not knowing correct procedures is really bad and shows their incompetence ... scary !!! Go to CHOPO if any testing is needed, save a lot of money and much more thorough. If you need a hospital, go to Galenia Hospital ... much better and more professional. We used Hospiten for many years , but we have noticed they have been slipping last year or 2 ... and should not be your first choice And because of the above and how Hospiten chose not to do the right thing, worst of all the overcharge American tourists 3 times the normal price. I will be sharing this information on TripAdvisor, Facebook as well on all Expat and local Facebook Groups... people should know

Please avoid this hospital! Do not go there! The biggest scammers ever! This hospital is mafia! My dad had an emergency, he couldn’t breathe. Ambulance brought him to this hospital from resort, they charged us upfront $10k, next day they tried to squeeze more $6k without any papers, itemized bill and any details what tests have been done. Of course we refused to pay more and moved him to the general hospital in Cancun. My dad spent there 3 days, they provided him all treatments he needed and charged us less than $300. General hospital is not so fancy and for locals from hood but they do everything they are supposed to do without asking money upfront. So if you have an emergency do not go to any private hospitals, the only things they do are just rip tourists off.

They told us my wife had appendicitis and wanted 20k up front for the surgery. I wanted a second opinion as symptoms were not aligned with my own appendectomy about 5 years ago. Turns out she has multiple parasites. They also wanted to take a kidney out. Absolutely disgusting place that feasts on wealthy Americans. Do your self a favor and go to amerimed up the road, or fly to ft lauderdale if you can handle the 80 minute flight. Reported to the embassy. We paid 4K for an IV drop. They work with the hotels and the hotel doctors force you here. It’s all a scam.

We were staying at a resort near Cancun and purchased two PCR tests that were sent to the lab at Hospiten Cancun . We were told results would be emailed to us before our return flights to Canada which were scheduled 34 hrs from when we had our tests . The staff called the lab to ensure we would get our results before our departure and all was confirmed that we would receive them the next afternoon. We arrived at airport 3 hours before our flight and despite sending several emails to the lab our results were not sent . We missed our flight and had to arrange accommodations for the night and rebook flights home . I can’t begin to convey the stress we experienced through the whole ordeal not to mention the added expense ! Communication between lab and clinics is poor and unreliable . Get your COVID tests somewhere else !

We were sent here from our hotel when my friend got her rings stuck on her amputated finger. They saw us right away and they were very professional. The we had to see a specialist doctor, he cut the rings fast and we were on out way. Thankyou to all the staff there for helping us. I am happy they let you know the cost before treating you as well.

Just like the other comment, they charge you upfront and add on expensive tests. We went in for head trauma and the doctor did not even see us. They said the doctor would see us at 8am and he never came. We kept asking where is he and what time he was coming. Waited for four hours … around noon we decided to go and change of flight direct back to DC. And when we were trying to check they were “oh we have to confirm”. When clearly none of them knew anything. We also asked for water three times it never came. Another thing they charged us 80 for a covid test and never received the results. Honestly the worst at communicating and stressful. It’s a scam!! We got three times?
