My mother was checked in to Hospiten Puerto Vallarta on 7/3/3020. She had surgery, then she was placed in intensive care. According to the doctor everything went well , and my mother was placed in IC unit. When we asked why IC unit they said to continue overseeing her recuperación which we thought it was ok. Things got complicated and my mother unfortunately passed away. Few things didn’t make sense for us. First , if she was in a critical condition they didn’t say since the beginning, Second, when my mother was admitted Hospiten gave us an estimated amount for all the services she was going to receive. By the time we wanted to recover her body they told us “ you have to pay everything if you want your mother’s body” THATS Unreal. With in our family pain we asked for the receipts. The amount of money they wanted us to is to pay was triple the amount we had agreed. We started reviewing the services and discovered they were charging us an extra night we did NOT use!!!!! As we continue checking the papers, the receptionist seemed very nervous. By that time we realized they were not been honest and we believed that they use people’s grieve to steal from the them. We left and called our lawyer. SÚPER BAD EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!

Not only is this place that huge rip off the doctors are incompetent.Took my son in there with stomach issues they deemed it to be his gallbladder wanted to remove it. Charged almost $6,000 for two bags of IV being admitted and an antibiotic. Not to mention they wanted to remove his gallbladder which is a life-changing alteration. I signed a waiver to get him out of there and got back to Canada. Had his blood checked here in Canada which all came back normal.they did an ultrasound of his gallbladder here in Canada and found nothing at all wrong with it.This place is a scam like everything else in Mexico ,be careful do not get anything done here.

I had an ear problem after scuba diving and went to AmeriMed. Boy, am I glad I did. They acted like they were waiting for me to come in. Everybody spoke great English. I was seen by a nurse and Doctor promptly, much faster then in the US. The Doctor did a thorough exam, prescribed medicines and recommended follow up if needed. The bill came to $141!!! I can't see my regular Dr for that little, much less an emergency room. I did have to pay with credit card because THEY DO NOT BILL INSURANCE. I'll do that when I return. Great care and service. Highly recommended!

Despite what others have said...this is an excellent facility..I am a uk paramedic and was admitted with acute pneumonia for 4 days. The care was faultless. Yes it was expensive.. but I'm insured..that's what it's for...I suggest others who left promptly, did because they were well enough to do so...I shall be eternally grateful to the knowledgeable attentive staff.

My wife was a energency admission and required 2 energency surgeries. She was in care for 8 day 9 days before she was stable to be flown by air ambulance back to Canada. The surgeons, internal medicine doctors, intensive care doctors provided very professional compassionate care. The nursing staff again very professional and truly care. The public relations people kept me informed assisted me in the hospital...gave me a bed until they were able to arrange a hotel for me. I can't say enough about the quality in all aspects about the people and the facility. I cant see how any one could not be pleased. Yes health care is expensive..whether your in Canada the U.S., Mexico or abroad. Have your insurance in order. The Mexican people in the public were kind and helpful to me as well. 10 Stars. It took so long for a COVID test, that I left the office. I do not recommend this location for your medical needs

My wife was admitted through the ER then stayed for 24 hours. The care was exceptional all around. The hospital was very clean and comfortable. Dr Marcelo Rojas was very through and included a very detailed management plan at discharge. All images and labs were given at discharge for records to take home and support insurance claims.

My mother fell and fractured her upper arm at our resort and required surgery. Dr. Carlos Sanchez did the operation which included a titanium plate and screws. Dr Sanchez and all of the staff were kind and accommodating. The hospital was clean and seemed fairly new. We returned home for follow up. Our local surgeon confirmed that the treatment my mother received was excellent. As they don’t accept insurance from the US, payment is due up front. We used a credo card then submitted the claim to the insurance company. We would recommend their facility if you find yourself needing medical care while in PV.
