Hostal Cafe Cha Cha Cha - 77780 Tulum

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cha Cha Cha. The staff were lovely and our private room was comfortable and the most affordable of our trip so far. Bike hire and washing facilities were available and the eggs for breakfast kept us going all day.

Close to the bus station and conveniently positioned, but like everything in tulum is way over priced. 150 pesos per person to camp (in own tent). Only one toilet for men. Friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere

We had a great time there! We got a private room with shared bathroom, the bathroom was right outside of my room, always clean and nice. We had delicious breakfast every morning and Diego (one of the employees) gave us a great service.

The location is amazing and they made feel as a family member

the staff is super nice and there's free breakfast. however, the twin room right in the middle of the garden/kitchen area didn't offer any privacy (2 large windows, 1 without a proper curtain) the alternative was very dark and smelled horribly bad so I didn't really have a choice, there's only one toilet + shower per gender and a tiny shared sink, from the ADO across the street you still have to walk around the block, but all the noise is right there, also there was noise from above, no towells, the bicycles have had their best time and you can't open or close the main gate with your own key

Location is very convenient behind the ADO bus station, very easy to find. Dorm room is a good size with a couple of fans and lockers (wooden) bathroom OK and the cold shower has good pressure and is great for the heat. Staff are lovely and the breakfast is really good!

Very accessable place right next to the ado bus station and right down town! I only stayed one night because of all the bugs and mosquitoes biting me all night. Price was very reasonable for this season for the dorm bunk beds at 200 pesos for one night, but 3 nights for 500 pesos. You could bring your own beer and use the refrigerator. Nice areas to just hang out. The wifi was very slow, but it was working. I actually got a hot shower here in the morning, but the toilet didn't have a toilet seat. I found a similarly priced place to move to with Air conditioning at night time and toilet seats. However, I was impressed with the good shower at this place.

The good: The hostel is in a great location - right behind the ADO bus station. Staff are friendly. There is no free breakfast but coffee is included (although I was not told when I checked it - it was a nice surprise!) Needs improving: I was kept waiting for 15 minutes to check in while someone spoke to their friend. When I was checked in, my bed had no linen on and I had to tell two people before they realised. I was also not shown where the bathroom was for example The toilet door did not close properly and had no paper There is no security or locks or anything - it is easy to walk into the hostel and into the room The room is right next to a cafe table and the communal kitchen. You can hear lots of noise. Someone was playing music at 1am and singing along to it. You can also hear the buses from the bus station. At 6/7am people were up and making noise and talking, washing up etc with no consideration for people sleeping in the dorm. There are lots of mosquitoes here - take spray! The café had/has no menu - I had to ask staff what food was available - it seems to be one item per day e.g omelettes or quesadillas. These are about 75 pesos and good. Coffee is 35 pesos
