★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Room was dirty, sheets were stained, hair was on the floor in the bathroom and room was not swept. We were not given the tv remote, air conditioner remote nor the wifi password. There are so many better places to stay in Merida.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its pretty modern and has ACs in every room. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It has a 24 hour reception. Only the bathrooms and showers could be improved, as they smell a bit and the showers do not work very well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ THE WORST HOSTAL I'VE EVER BEEN, not water in there, cockroach in bath, the owner is the worst, ask you to leave at 11am, you need to pay for parking. THE WORST!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They didn't know we were coming, and said different price which is higher than we booked on Expedia. Our room was ground floor and dark, smell mold and there were couple roaches in the bathroom. They were flying when I was brush my teeth. Location was not bad. Building is old which is common in Merida but we were disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hostal was very beautiful, well kept, and accommodating! The owners were lovely and very attentive, always asking us if there is anything we needed. The space is clean, the dorm beds are comfortable, and there is a beautiful rooftop with loads of space to use as a common area. I highly recommend Casa Fernanda

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was the worst stay I had in whole Mexico! The beds were hard as prison beds. The toilet had a foamed plastic toilet seat and the shower was dirty. In the room were cockroaches and the fan from the neighboring room was so loud that we couldn’t sleep. We came there to socialize but the only other guests were old Mexican laborers. On top of all the host is a very scary, unfriendly and bad tempered guy. I did not feel safe in this accommodation. The Alcoholics Anonymous are also right next to the hostel. For the same price, we found a 3 star hotel in the center. Would definitely not recommend to book this to anyone!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decent place. The private room we got on the second floor was clean enough for us. Kitchen was ok. Most of the pots and pans are scratched Teflon.
Nice terrace vibe where the hammocks are. Pretty quiet at night - a big plus.
The beds are very firm, which I was concerned about but I managed to sleep great both nights.
Shower was hot but water pressure was the worst we’ve experienced in Mexico so far (2 months).
Purified water is available but they ask you to conserve. Location was pretty good. Not in the center but close (which also means it’s quiet at night). Bring your bug spray when visiting Mérida! The mosquitos are out all day.
