★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fabulous - this place is all you can ask for a hostel. I planned to stay 2 nights and spent a week there in the end. Set in a colonial building, it has great vibes, 4 large dorms with AC & ventilator, individual lockers, plugs by your bed. There is also a private room. The free simple breakfast makes it overall excellent value for money and you meet like-minded travelers. Would go there anytime again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such nice people work here! The owner is smart bc the people really hold this place together-I'd give the staff 10 stars if I could. HOWEVER, the only one shower was in working order when I arrived and neither restroom was clean. Both bathrooms had SO MANY mosquitos and you must walk through the outdoor restaurant area to enter and exit the showers, so on live music night you'll have to plan accordingly otherwise you're walking in a towel in front of restaurant guests. This part isn't really their fault because I don't know where else you could place the bathroom, just something to be aware of. Also NO A/C during the day. I still would return...maybe IF both showers worked.
