Very beautiful staff, so helpful and sweet, makes the whole experience here. Hostel is nice, has rooms with good a/c, definitely worth the extra money. Kitchen is good, lounge very cozy. Definitely recommend this place, and San Pancho is very sweet laid back town, much prefer it to Sayulita ?

The staff is friendly. The breakfast is delicious. San Pancho is a sweet little town and this is a great place to stay.

I stayed for couple nights and it was great. It is cheap but everything was very clean and they make you feel like a friend from the very first moment, I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect place to stay. Beautiful rooms, both private and shared, whether you're just going by or staying for longer, it makes a great place.

Cheap, well located but very noisy. The dorms are almost on the street so when the door is open you cannot really sleep well (at night or in the morning).

They lost valuable items from lost and founds. I forgot 3000 pesos (US $150.00) worth of stuff at the hostel. They found a kept it for a while but when I came to pick it up, they didn't have it anymore. A reasonable person would think that they would take good care of valuable items in the lost and found, but not the case here. They had a volunteer taking care of it, but once this volunteer was gone, they did not want to reach out to him to ask where he left it (the volunteer was Marcelino). The owner blamed the volunteers working in the hostel for those missing items. She think that one of them probably took the items. The hostel has great vibe tho. The Bathroom was for males and females, All in the same room. This was a little awkward but kind of funny. For me it is not a dealbreaker but I imagine that for some people, it may be. For this reason I am mentioning. If management reach out to me a make a real effort to find my stuff, like contacting Marcelino, I'll consider changing this review. If you are still reading this review is because they don't care about improving their services.

Super creepy hostel and way overpriced for what is offered. A small “cubical” was offered for 600pesos which consisted of plywood prison cell-like box. & Absolutely no privacy. People nearby can hear everything and if light stays on at night keeps others awake. The bathrooms are probably Petri dishes of athletes foot. The owners basically bought or rented a big open space and divided everything into these cubicles and bunk beds to heard desperate tourists in like cattle, obviously they only care about making as much money as possible. Would definitely never stay here again. There is another much much nicer hostel next door Hostel San Pancho that for only 100pesos more is private room with its own bathroom. Much cleaner, much more private and much nicer. Please save yourselves the creepy experience at Hostel la Selva!
