Thoughtful and Kind, A Wonderful Place to Stay I can’t say enough good things about Hostal Las Cruces. A cute, well-looked after family establishment run by the sweetest siblings who were so very patient with me when I practised my Spanish as well as when I got sick on my final day. More on that later: As soon as I arrived, with a friendly smile I was given a towel, a little welcome pack with soaps and toiletries, and shown around the cute and super clean hostel. All the rooms had both A/C and powerful fans for when the a/c was off during the day. I didn’t feel too hot at all, even when I had the food-poisoning sweats. In the eating and chill out area there’s Netflix and video games, and plenty of information about Valladolid and everything you could possibly want to do there. They also rent out decent bikes (with brakes!) which I made sure to take advantage of to cycle to the cenotes. Breakfast seems to change daily and is generous, with fruit left out for you to take also. Both the sister and brothers were always more than happy to help. When I couldn’t get any hot water, they immediately checked it out for me and sorted it. The lockers are big enough to store belongings as well. The atmosphere was chilled but still had a nice bunch of people to make friends with. Two gyms round the corner too! Then I got sick and had to extend my stay as I was bed-ridden with Mexican food poisoning... straight away they gave me a new bed in a quieter room so I could suffer in peace and went out to buy me electrolytes (they refused payment of these but I insisted when I checked out) especislly the sister was an absolute angel! She made me banana and toast when I was feeling a little better and constantly checked on me. Usually as a solo traveller, when you get sick it’s a lonely time. I felt like I had a secondary family taking care of me. I can never express my gratitude except to tell people to come to this lovely, heartwarming place and give this adorable family your business. They will take so much care of you :)

Very cozy nice and clean hostel. The air conditioning and wifi worked great, lockers were included in our room. The family that runs it were very friendly and helpful and kindly prepared breakfast each morning. You can rent bicycles to ride around town here for very cheap. Would definitely return and recommend to any travellers.

This hostel is nicely decorated and has a homey feel to it. It's clean, has comfy beds, air-conditioner and TV with Netflix. The "staff" are very friendly and really go the extra mile for their guest. They even made a special vegan breakfast for us every day. Which was very tasty.

This hostel is lovely! Quiet, clean, comfortable, and very cute. The family is very friendly and helpful with any questions you might have. Breakfast was wonderful - lots of fruit! The rooms are spacious and comfortable and air-conditioned. The overall atmosphere is bright and inviting and there are lots of cool, quiet spaces to hang out both inside and on the roof terraces. There is also a lot of information and books and games in the common area. We stayed in one of the dorms and loved it! The beds are comfortable and there are big lockers in the dorms for each bed.

We had a private room upstairs which was super clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff is very friendly & helpful regarding things to do in & around Valladolid. The possibility to rent bikes/scooter is very convenient! Highly recommend staying here!
