Arrived at 5am they were still super friendly. They let us early in our room. Beds are good, good lockers with power outlets at your bed. Great location, good showers clean toilets. Kicthen area has everything and good hangout family vibe. Staff is super helpfull the manager from uruguay is really epic! Rooftop is great views. Some improvements can be made, couch in hangout area can be replaced. Some more light in the kitchen because a bit dark. Restaurant next door is very loud pumping music. Breakfast was not really buffet but more what they had. Still one of the best hostels weh visited

This is a great hostel in terms of its friendly staff and the fact that it's centrally located in the heart of Mexico City. It also has beautiful art throughout the building as well as boasting a chill hangout room with a balcony. The room I stayed in had a comfortable bed, ample storage space, and good roomies. I would give this place a perfect score if it wasn't for the very small restrooms and the noise level due to the rooftop parties

Nice hostel with delicious pancakes for breakfast. Great location. Just a bit too loud being right next to the square and having a rooftop bar. But I guess it all depends when you end up there (we were over weekend).

If you wanna meet interesting travelers and have a good time, this is a great place to do that. The rooms are pretty nice and have lockers with locks on them including one accessible from your bed with a wall outlet on the inside. The bathrooms are really small and are not the nicest but they're OK. The reception people will also give you great recommendations. There's a free walking tour that you should definitely go on. The location is fantastic for a lot of the touristic sights which are well worth it, but don't expect to be in a quintessential Mexican neighborhood. This at first I thought would bother me but I realized it was easier to be close to a lot of the museums and sights I was interested while also simply taking a metro to explore more authentic neighborhoods.

Music is always playing which is really great, the service is awesome and staff are really nice and knowledgeable. This place is great if you're a solo traveller and they even have a terrace! Only thing is the restaurant downstairs doesn't have much options, and the washroom sometimes smells like sewage

So Mexiqui is a dope hostel in multiple regards. The staff is great, attentive and personal. The whole building is a beauty. I was fortunate to book the only double room they have with a single full/queen bed. The pictures they provide leave nothing to the imagination but the room is more than sufficient if you want a little personal space when you sleep. As a whole the location is perfectly situated behind the cathedral so it provides you easy access to everything around the square. All the guest I came across we're quite friendly and when out with them multiple times throughout my stay. Honestly, the only thing that knocked a star off was the fact that the rooms are not heated and the lows we're pretty cold in the night (1°-5° C) and even with blankets you still felt it. Granted, this was in January so cool nights are to be expected but it doesn't change how I felt at night. If you're considering a hostel I would definitely recommend this place. I myself would probably stay here again the next time I visit but I would just need to be here when the nights are warmer.

I liked the breakfast and the location, but was not too fond of the staff tho, but that's more personal. The room and bathroom were clean and the beds were good enough. Sadly, in the men's bathroom there were a few broken locks and the doors of the showers are not broad enough. Lockers were working and were bigger than i most hostels (Which is really great). The view from the terrace is absolutely amazing.
