Hostal Mondala - 70934 Brisas de Zicatela

El lugar está bien para pasar la noche, es caluroso, pero esta a pocos metros de la playa, bastante tranquilo y no muy caro.

Trecientos pesos por una pequeña cabaña rustica con su propia regadera(no hay boiler, pero el agua sale a muy buena temperatura) todo muy relax, bien ubicado. Muy recomendable

Es hostal muy de prepa . Estilo salvaje si llegan tarde y no quieren gastar mucho. No tiene mosquiteros en las ventanas. Muy buena vibra.

Esta bien ubicado pero es el hostal más descuido y sucio que he visto. Horrible!

En efecto es barato y muy cerca de la playa, una cabaña 500 pesos, pero le hace falta limpieza, el baño es muy rústico, encontramos cucarachas y desde la mañana andan quemando mota, no es que me espante, pero todo el día, mañana, tarde y noche no está chido y la fiesta no para hasta muy noche. Eso sí, los chicos que atienden, siempre muy amables y serviciales.

Avoid. Benjamin the owner is delightful and if he could be directly involved he would no doubt improve it. I stayed at the Mondala in La Punta (7 mins cab ride) and it is infinitely better managed than Mondala in Zicatela: Incompetence, laziness, sheer lack of forward thinking, not to mention bringing at least 2 girls tears during the time I stayed here. The two boys running this place have tried to hustle numerous guests by adding mystery numbers on to bills, as well as divulging personal details to the local drug dealers. Lecherous lads who prey on anything with a pulse. The Internet is frequently hogged by the pair sucking up all the bandwidth on their phones. Asking for a drink from the bar will return a sigh and attitude as if you have asked for a kidney donor - or denied if you happen to be female and you've turned one of the boys/their advances down. Finally the boys could not account for a guest who managed to get past "check in" and "security" (lad in hammock playing video games all night)... And managed to stay 2 whole days at this hostel, claiming another guest would pay on his behalf - despite having never known said guest. When asked about how this happened given the numerous risks, we were met with blank faces, "I wasn't there at the time", or "I don't understand English". Ladies and gentlemen, this makes Fawlty Towers looks good. Ps: pigeons walking all over the kitchen surfaces, gone off food in the fridge, sudden changes in rule seemingly dependent on the two lad's moods.

Very nice people. It's kind of clean, kind of not but the walls aren't enclosed very well so lots of bugs get in. I didn't like that they had no working fridge. We put our food in the fridge to realize the next day it didn't work and everything was covered in ants. For the price you really can't beat it.
