Hostal Santo Domingo - 72000 Puebla

Our second stay here. Can't say much about the dorms, but the private rooms are nice. A simple breakfast is served in the courtyard. The staff speak English well and are happy to answer any questions. The location is great as well.

Great hostal with friendly staff. Delicious breakfast complete with juice coffee and eggs. The beds are very comfortable and the showers are hot. I broke my motorcycle here in Puebla and have stayed for the last few weeks at the hostel and really enjoy the time. Great location and fantastic price at 180 pesos a night!!! Also it's no problem to park two or three motorcycles in the secured courtyard. Great option for visiting Puebla!!!

Very pretty hostel and they let us park our motorcycle in the lobby! I would advise on asking for a dorm with outlets because not all of them have them. We spent 2 nights there and it was pretty empty and quiet. Definitely not a great place to make new friends, more a place to relax and recharge.

Hostal rather than a hotel. Balcony was nice but music from the shops below blared until 9 or 10 at night. There were no window or blinds, just thin shutters that did not keep any of the noise or light out. Our room did have a private bathroom but it smelled strongly of raw sewage. I covered the drain but that did not help. It may have something to do with the vinyl flooring used in the shower.

The place is very nice, clean, the rooms are spacious and they have a nice large size locker for your stuff with free locks! The staff are friendly and always there when you need them. They have a large size kitchen, so that is nice with available drinkable water 24/7. It was my first time staying at a Hostel and I have to say it wasn't a bad experience at all!! I highly recommend it.

Clean roomy rooms, good beds and showers. Front desk lady Tere ( I think that was her name) very helpful and good nature. Large kitchen and eating area

Nice hostal. Big rooms. Shower and toilet in rooms, wifi, tv. No hot water, little noisy, nice balcony. All night I was attacked by light from hall outside of our room because of glass main door.

Beautiful OYO hostel conveniently located close to the Zocalo in Puebla. Extremely friendly woman at front desk, was very nice to us and we communicated fine with our broken Spanish. Paid $450/night in cash (walk in) for a private room w/ bath. The room on the second floor was huge (two double beds!) had beautiful high ceilings and natural light from the sky, the bathroom had a really nice shower and was clean, towels provided. Free water refills. No breakfast due to covid as of April '22. American pop music played in the lobby at reasonable volume throughout the day and some music audible from the shops across the street, but nice and quiet at night. They had multiple locking gates at the entrance so felt very safe. We originally planned to stay one night but ended up staying 3 after contracting an unfortunate case of Moctezuma's revenge. Definitely not a bad place to be unexpectedly cooped up in for two days!
