Good place to stay if you're traveling alone in the area. Can be a little noisy depending on how lucky you are with the other customers. The location is okay. They have a kitchen that you can use. They don't provide complimentary breakfast but they offer it for a reasonable price. Can't talk about it with more detail because didn't try it. It's a good option.

Great place to stay, the common areas are big, clean and very nice. There is a kitchen that you can use, it is small but enough to do basic stuff. I stayed in a female dorm, which was very big, the showers and toilets are vey clean. Staff is very helpful. You can pay for the breakfast, it is not bad. Do not hesitate to stay there, it's a great place. Also it is easy to meet people there.

Great place to meet other travelers, friendly staff, secure lockers for valuables, water available, beer for sale, breakfast/coffee available for purchase, comfy beds, good location, colourful building! The only improvement I could suggest is to find another way to secure the screen doors so they don't have to click. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone traveling to Valladolid! Gracias ?

I can quite happily say Tunich Naj is the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. Nothing to do with the location or facilities, but the staff have to be some of the most arrogant and rude people I’ve ever met. On multiple occasions whilst I was there they would lie to customers, patronize them, and change reservations without informing them. When questioned on this they’d accuse the customer of lying rather than apologizing or addressing the issue, an attitude you can see in response to other reviews here. Likewise, in response to criticism they repeatedly state ‘all hostels have rules’, but fail to realize it is the patronizing and rude way they enforce them that annoys paying customers. The rules themselves are fine, but there’s no need to be so aggressive with them. They’ll probably be annoyed I’m leaving a fake name here, but frankly given the almost intimidating nature of the staff I have no interest in them knowing who I am. My criticism still stands and they need to stop being so arrogant and accept they need to change their attitude towards customers. Regardless, I look forward to the manager’s childish response to my review, no doubt full of capital letters and accusing me of being a liar. It'll only prove my point. I’d advise anyone in Valladolid to stay under a rock instead of this place, you’ll find more welcoming hosts there.

Good location and friendly staff, however the dorms were very hot (fans only, noAC) and scarce recommendations or “no breakfast place nearby”.. they could really up their game with better local recommendations and some AC in the dorms. The private/smaller rooms looked really nice!

READ REVIEWS IN DEPTH, STAR RATING DOESN’T REFLECT COMMENTS. This hostel has a lot of potential in terms of facilities and location but the staff completely ruined it for us. Having read through the comments since, it seems a lot of people agree but the star rating looks higher as the location/facilities are good. The replies on reviews from the hostel are also appalling. Issues we had: Staff being rude - we had interactions with 4 members of staff including the manager and all were incredibly rude and unprofessional. Our friend checked out and was waiting in the social space to go for lunch with us. A staff member asked if he’d checked out, he said yes and the staff member told him to ‘take his bag and get out’ so he had to stand on the street to wait for us. Incorrect booking - for our 2nd night, we were given rooms we hadn’t booked. No apology from the staff or offer of a discount, instead they argued with me and said we’d been told by the manager yesterday that our booking had changed. We hadn’t been told that, there were three of us present to back this up and the staff said we were lying and had been told. I asked why we’d been given the wrong room and they said they advertise beds on hostelworld then put people wherever there is space. While we were arguing, two other girls arrived to check in. They’d booked two nights in a dorm and were told there was no space for them that day and they’d been booked for a private the following night (considerably more expensive). Ridiculous rules - check in was 3pm and check out 11am and staff did not waver from that, even if a bed was ready. Fair enough if that’s the rule but after checking out of one room at 11am (to move to another in the same hostel) and having to wait until 3pm to be allowed in a room again, I’d expect the bed to be ready. However the sheets hadn’t been changed and we didn’t have a clean sheet until 9pm when we asked for them at reception. Lack of security - no luggage room so bags/valuables were left behind reception desk (which could be accessed from the street). Staff assured us the desk was never unattended but it was empty multiple times which meant people’s things were completely unguarded. The dorm lockers were accessed with a key that you had to pay a deposit for (instead of using your own padlock). This meant all the lockers could be accessed by staff which made us very uncomfortable given how poorly the staff had behaved about everything else.

This a great place to stay if you’re looking for something stylish, relaxing, and with fast wifi. We slept in a 10 bed dorm which I thought I would never do. But the room is actually pretty big and spaced out. Only thing I didn’t like is that the bathroom is outside and the lockers are too small to really hold anything. Overall, this is a good hostel and they’re doing renovations so I would recommend it!
