★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This must be the best Hostal in all of Yucatan, and certainly in Merida. This place is beautiful, yes a bit far away from the centre but the neighbourhood is beautiful and calm with tons of food stalls around. Daily activities, gorgeous architecture and as clean as it gets with loads of privacy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a fairly new hostel, cleanliness and hospitality is in top.
Probably due to the lovely ladies working here ?
The attendive volunteers and workers in this hostal is some of the best I have ever met. It feels more like walking into a heartwarming family than a hostal.
They are super profesional and I really liked how they have a WhatsApp group so the guests can quickly arrange trips etc together or drop pins for meetups in restaurant or bars.
The hostal itself is well planned out, bunk beds have extra height for comfort so if you have to work or etc you can easily do it from your Bunk.
5 starS all around. I only spent 2nights here but if I come back to Merida i know where to stay if it's available, it's quickly becoming a very popular hostel ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ By far, the best hostel of the three we stayed at in Merida. Awesome staff, nice showers with great hot water pressure, excellent common space with pool, kitchen, fridge, bar and live music. We really couldn't ask for more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I loved the hostel!
At first you meet a lot of lovely people wich is nice when you’re a Solo Traveler. There are people from all over the world and my late checkin was no problem at all!
The beds are so comfortable, I slept really well. They have AC in the rooms, showers are hot and have a real good pressure and I like the fact that they have breakfast included - but you can make it yourself.
I was offered a really good brownie with Icecream and the Pizza night was a blast!
The staff and volonteers are so lovely that I don’t want to leave. :(
Thanks so much for the good experience!!
I recommend to go to the Cozuma Cenotes with the collectivo when you’re in Mérida and rent some bikes on Sunday (Biciruta - mainstreet is closed for people riding bikes). :-)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hostel is planned, built and organized in a superb way. The dorms allow for a lot of privacy bc of the way they are built and you get two lockers with a key. Your bed has a curtain as well as a power outlet. There are plenty of bathrooms and showers in the house. The kitchen is big but could be a little better equipped, but all in all good. The laundry service is very convenient. The only thing that really bothered us was the constant music being played in the common area (mostly reggaeton, but there was a two hour live jazz session one night which was quite loud & not enjoyable). It would be nice to have some quiet time every now and then. But other than that it was a great experience and we would book again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best hostel experience ever. I found this place in hostel world. Made a reservation for 5 nights and I think it was too little. I would’ve loved to stay longer. The staff is amazing, every single person treated me so well, was very amicable and very respectful at all times. The hostel is very clean and organized, beautifully decorated and feels like home away from home. It’s Located in front of a plaza (la Ermita). It’s a beautiful neighborhood and the locals are very welcoming and sweet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was told by a friend that this was the best hostel they stayed in and now I see why - Perfect hostel for solo travellers like myself because it’s set up for bringing people together. Comfortable beds and good quality showers. Very warm and helpful staff. The WhatsApp group makes it really easy to tag along to stuff. By far the best kitchen in have seen and the ‘make your own free breakfast’ was a great way to start the day. Thanks Barrio Vivo!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is by far my favourite hostel ever. It’s social, friendly, super clean and well appointed. From the second I got there I felt at home. The staff are some of the friendliest and hard working people I have ever encountered, the water is hot, the breakfast is great (and included), decent towels and blankets are provided and I can honestly say there’s not one thing I can fault. There’s a real family vibe to the place and I have to say that pizza night should NOT be missed. Thank you for having me.
