★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DO NOT RESERVE THERE. BE CAREFUL THE STAFF STOLE MONEY FROM MY BAG. DISHONEST PEOPLE. BOOKING and HOSTEL WORLD SHOULD CLOSE THEIR ACCOUNT
I left my bag to the luggage room for 3 days (i had to pay per day) when i asked the security guy if it was safe he told me yes and showed me cameras. When i came back the lock of my baf was open, my code was changed and was open (i couldn't lock it again as someone changed my code) i had a long conversation with one of the guys telling him my money was taken he lied saying he cheked the cameras and no one opened it. They lied obviously i took pictures of the lock (they also put something in plastic to try to close my suitcase). Impossible to prove anything i just wanted to cry. i hope this won't happen to another person.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall great hostel. The positives of this hostel is the amazing views from the rooftop bar. Now a reason why I get a decent amount of thumbs ups on my review is that I talk about prices. Any cocktail is pretty expensive (100+ pesos). If you want to get around the high drinks prices, just stick to beer (50 pesos for domestic tap beer). You are paying for location and the atmosphere hence why the high drink prices.
This is kinda a party hostel. Anyone complaining about loud drunk guests should honestly have done their research and stay somewhere else. The rooms have no formal windows (just shutters) so sound carries very easily here.
Now the reason why I am rating this business a 4 star is because of their showers. You have to hold down a button to shower (extremely annoying) and there is no way to regulate the temperature despite having temperature control buttons.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm giving 5 stars because of the amazing view but honestly the staff has the worst attitude and they take forever to take care of you, I don't know if all of them are volunteering but the service is not the best, you will definitely take amazing pictures

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No taxi would take me to this address because the streets nearby were blocked off. They told me I would have to walk the last ten blocks in the dark with my suitcase. The hotel insisted on charging me anyway. I spent hours on the phone trying to sort this out with Hotels.com. Hotels.com said it was up to the hotel whether or not I was charged (!), but they would give me a credit for $50US. They actually put that in writing and then gave me a credit for 50MXN ($2.40US). I wrote to them twice with screen shots, but they pretended not to understand the situation. I have been a loyal customer of Hotels.com for about a dozen years, and they could have easily fixed this, but they chose not to, so now I'm going with Booking.com.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awful and inconsiderate. They blast obnoxious trance music from the rooftop until the early hours. Not only will you not sleep in the hostel, no one in the entire neighborhood will sleep before 2am due to the horrendously loud banging that vibrates across all surrounding buildings. There are much better hostels close by that treat guests and neighbors with respect.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved this hostel at the center of the historic center! Credit card payment accepted and relatively responsive via email. Super friendly English-speaking staff and a wonderful fifth-floor terrace which was right outside our room and the kitchen. Fast elevator. Free water refills in the kitchen. Lovely light breakfasts 8-10am with a rotating menu every 4 days (we had eggs/ham, quesadillas, sandwiches, and pancakes, plus they always had unlimited bread/cereal/coffee and a nice beverage e.g. horchata). The room (we booked the extra-large through the website) was very clean (housekeeping came through a few times during our week-long stay), separate bathroom and shower. Quite economical in terms of spacing and no desk but comfortable. The window in the room faced into an inside courtyard but we felt comfortable leaving them open at night. Had a fan too but even with that off we were comfortable temperature-wise in late March. Laundry available on 5th floor, you ask the desk for tokens. They let us store our luggage after checkout too. The only downside is that the bar upstairs plays pretty loud music every night until around 11pm and it was especially loud on Friday/weekends. Bring earplugs!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DON’T COME HERE!
There are better places to spend your money. This hostel is a money-machine. Music all night, the rooms smell horribly, they organize private party and close the kitchen and terrace for full days. People yell and talk in the corridors all night (up to 3am). Doors smashing every 5 minutes. You will not sleep.
Moreover the rooftop is open to everyone so you won’t meet anyone.
It’s not a hostel, it’s a nightclub.
