★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly recommend this hostel if you are staying in CDMX. The rooms are clean , they have alot of activities listed to help guide your stay, they are flexible when it comes to extending days. The 2 terraces are designed beautifully and it is very social. Nacho the manager was great he did most of the activities. Only problem I encountered was maybe the water was sometimes not running but I don’t think this is a common problem.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love this hostel, the staff is so kind, the rooms spacious, comfortable and quiet...the only thing.... They used to have great internet but this time it dropped every few minutes making work impossible. Other than that this is almost a perfect hostel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had several issues with our stay at Hostel Suites D.F. in Mexico City on December 26 booked via Hostelworld. The hostel had messaged us a few days prior to our trip to ask us to upgrade our stay to a private room and we decided to accept it as a caution for COVID. Upon arrival we paid MX $2,730 for four nights. During our first day and night, there were several issues that weren’t advertised on the hostel profile, including: no one was wearing masks whether staff or other guests, the hostel had drunken guests and staff shouting/door slamming/stomping at all hours of the night- both inside and outside as the walls are paper thin (we didn’t sleep), and the accommodation was dirty (stains on the bed sheets that had to be replaced). Normally, these things wouldn’t carry much weight but during a worldwide pandemic, they mattered that much more. Also, the shower didn’t have a light so don’t look forward to a nightly shower ? the only decent part was breakfast and a cool green wall on one of the patios.
Due to the lack of COVID precautions, cleanliness, and the noise level, we asked to cancel our stay and for a refund due to the atrocious conditions. Initially, the hostel front staff agreed to provide a full refund but an hour later said that they would only give us a refund for 2 nights instead of the 3 nights owed, and that they wouldn’t refund our Hostelworld deposit. As you can imagine, this was incredibly frustrating after a terrible stay and a promise of a refund. To be frank, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don’t understand how this place has so many positive reviews cause the rooms look like prison rooms but maybe it compensates with the price. We checked in and immediately checked out. The dorm smelled bad and it looked bad also. Maybe it just wasn’t the fit for us. The staff was nice to give us a refund but if you want a nicer stay in cdmx prefer another hostel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really solid hostel. Only major complaint would be the loud doors and lack of fans. Cigarette smoke would waft up into the private rooms in the evening if you kept the window open. The doors would swing shut at all hours, echoing throughout the entire building. A "soft-close" style of hinge would completely fix the problem.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A place to meet western people. Free breakfast. Amazing staff that become friends. Not a place to skip. Facilities are small so interactions happen but in general, very busy so book early so you aren't kicked out by another booking in the morning.
I left to meet more Mexicans...because this is México...
