Hostel Villa Colonial - 98000 Zacatecas

Nos alojamos alli en julio de 2017. Horrible la manera en como nos robaron a nosotros y otra señora francesa que se alojaba en el hotel. Las camaras de seguridad no sirven de nada porque si hay un problema no te muestran lo que paso. La cerradura de las habitaciones estan forzadas y se pueden abrir facilmente ya que tienen señales de que se han forcegeado. A nosotros nos robaron 200 dolares, y encontramos toda nuestra mochila revuelta, a la señora francesa le rompieron las cremalleras de su mochila buscando algo de valor. No nos dejaron ver las grabaciones y nos amenazaron por desconfiar de ellos que nos denunciarian cuando les pedimos de ver las camaras ya que al final querian acusarnos a nosotros de estar robando. We were host there in july 2017. Horrible the way how they stole us and a french women that was also hosted there. The security cameras does not help considering that when there is a problem they do not want to show you what happened. The latch in the room doors are forced and can be opened easily since they have signs of having been forced. They stole us 200 dollars, and all our bagpacks were scrambled, the luggage of the french woman had its zip fasteners broken. They did not let us see the recordings of the cameras ans we were threatened for not trusting them so they told as that were going to report us and the whole story ended accusing us that we had lost already a bounch of money, so NOT THAT CHEAP HOSTEL! ps.. If you are looking for something cheap but don't wanna risk it, the street above to this hostel has another place where you can rent rooms, is not that good looking but people are way more modest.

Old worn out mattresses. There's no soap in any of the bathrooms. I came in late on a Friday night and the host told me I can't be leaving and coming in late. There's plenty of better options skip this place.

I asked them to save my jacket, they lost it, then they promissed to payed for it (I even have the emails from the owner), but they never did it. The place is cheap, the ambience is good, but the mattresses are old and not so clean.

We told the staff at this hostel that there were bedbugs in our room and asked to move to a different room. We were shocked and surprised when instead they said there are no bedbugs take your money back and leave. When we asked if there was another room available to move to, they said no, clearly wanting us to get out as soon as possible. We did not accept the refund they offered. We've never been treated so rudely in hotels and hostels before.

Great hostel! Clean, affordable & the best location in town. Fast wifi, great kitchen, amazing roof deck & helpful people. Can you tell I liked this place? Apartments also available right next door (other side of steps) in the white building

I came in late on the bus. The owner graciously let me in. It has a perfect downtown colonial location. Great views from the roof and close to everything. The owner was very helpful and frendly to me as a American. Theres a full kitchen but theres so many food places around you might not need it.

Second time visiting. Great economical option, right in the heart of the city. Off the main road so less busy, staff has always been polite and respectful. And the views from the terrace are perfect for watching sunsets.

Their staff is really nice and always ready to help you find the right place to eat or to find your bus. But the amenities could really improve... there's no soap or towels in the places where you can wash your hands, there's not always paper in the toilets. And for my first night, I slept in dirty sheets... I arrived quite late so I didn't dare to complain right away. I did the next morning, and they changed it. Mattresses are quite old and thin, I wouldn't like to sleep too many nights on them... The terrasse is nice, but there's no shadow at all...
