Hot Mamma's Whiskey Kitchen PV - 48399 Puerto Vallarta

Good service, good cocktails. All the servers were incredibly friendly and helpful. As someone from Nashville though, I found the food a little surprising. The hot chicken was just fried chicken with red habanero salsa on top of it, and the coleslaw was straight up cabbage with vinegar. Not very authentic, as the restaurant’s concept would have you think. The crisp on the chicken was good tho and the mac and cheese was decent. The live music was awful tho :( It wasn’t an awful experience by any means but I just think there are some things that can be improved.

Very unique menu that gets away from typical Mexican food. Had fried chicken and Mac n cheese! Nice combination and well prepared.

We were looking for something different for dinner and came across the listing for Hot Mamma’s Whiskey Kitchen and the menu had fried chicken, promising to be cooked like a good ole Southern kitchen. We took a cab to the restaurant on a Tuesday night and it was packed but there was a deuce just outside so we took it. I recommend making a reservation if you go, and you really should go. The fried chicken was as Southern as promised and everything else was delicious as well. The macaroni and cheese is amazing and the coleslaw was sweet and vinegary. We had the onion straws with homemade peppercorn ranch dipping sauce, also good. Our waitress, Tania, was very sweet and took good care of us. The owner, Gina, visits each table to ensure you’re well taken care of and have all you need. She has a guitarist/singer doing many popular songs from different decades, which greatly added to the ambiance. When you’re in Puerto Vallarta, I highly recommend eating here for a little down home Southern cooking.

Food was a trip back to USA, Tennessee home style cooking. Fried chicken, chicken tenders, Mac and cheese, etc. Everything was cooked perfectly, and with just the right spices. Our waiter was quick, attentive, spoke English, and stopped to talk with us about the restaurant.

Having dinner here was an absolute treat - the restaurant is owned by a wonderful person who has taken the time and care to give world class southern food and world class southern hospitality all the way in Puerto Vallarta. I got the chicken fried steak and the hush puppies and both were heavenly, next time I'm getting the chicken and waffles! If you're looking for a restaurant with a great atmosphere, amazing food, and wonderful service, stop debating and just have dinner here

One of the absolute best experiences we have had in PV. If you want to feel like you were invited over to a friends house for a dinner party this is where you want to be. We were greeted and warmly welcomed by the owner Gina and her pup Harry like we were old friends. We were there on a Saturday night and there was a duo playing classic rock tunes everything from Elton John to Guns and Roses. We had the Pineapple Sangria and it was delicious! We were visited at our table several times by Harry, for pets and praise no doubt. And then the food came! Omg! The macaroni and cheese is simply devine. It was just perfect in every way. Each shell tasted like it had bathed in the cheese sauce, which was a perfect balance of rich cheesy-ness and cream. It is very cheesy and yet somehow light. The fried chicken was very crispy on the outside with a fantastic flavourful crust and was moist and tender inside. Don't get me started on the sauces that are brought to the table! Every single one was fresh and full of flavour! We can't wait to visit this restaurant again. From the decor to the food, from drinks to the fabulous service this restaurant can not be beat.

Incredible place, the service surprised me a lot, very fast and attentive, I had a good experience of this place and I ate delicious! My recommendations are: Tennessee torta accompanied by Mac and cheese, Fresh Fish and chips. For drink, I had a delicious Spiked lemonade with Jim Beam. For dessert I had a Bourbon banana pudding, it was delicious, and a Jack Daniels Milk chocolate shake. Honestly the food is delicious and the service is very good too. . . . I am from Atlanta, GA so I know my way around fried chicken and Mac n cheese. This is truly the best chicken sandwich and Mac n cheese I’ve ever had. I’m kind of in shock that it was as good as it was. I wish I had more room in my stomach to have tried the hush puppies which looked amazing, and the onion straws. Their homemade sauces were all also very delicious and the service was friendly and fast. The space itself is open air with a great breeze and nice views. Very glad to have found this place and will return to it on each trip back to PV
