★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sweet little hotel in the village of Akumal, great alternative to expensive hotels on the playa. Very nice staff, clean and pretty rooms, comfortable beds. Not many frills except air conditioning, but much more authentic location in the actual "town" of Akumal. NOT the resort experience, but for off beat or budget conscious its a great spot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel was just oK. No hot water. Our room was not safe. Staff rummaged through our belongings and stole several hundred dollars. Staff was not helpful. Said all valuables should be stored at the front desk....where there is no person 80% of the time. Beware of this hotel. !!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The room we had was very noisy, from the street you heard all the cars all night.. no hot water in the shower..
it’s maybe a 10 minutes walk to the beach and there’s a mini supermarket just under the hotel.. also a good place to wash clothes just around the corner for 15 pesos/kilo

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don't let the look of the town fool you. This hidden gem is a great place to stay. Be warned: there was no tv in the room, but I don't care. It had AC, wifi, and a beautiful shower.
