Hotel Azul Talavera Country Club - 27259 Torreón

The hotel is very nice and has great decor. The location is good as it's not too close and not too far from downtown. Service is exceptional and the rooms are nice. The only problem was I did not have any cold water in the shower and that made it very difficult for me to shower.

Under remodeling did not affect the service, frendly personnel, weekend grill buffet recommendable, golf T fee and equipment rent affordable, will stay again when possible, also expect changes for good.

Nice rooms, pool, gym, and restaurant. But Bad smell in the morning outside. Service is extremely poor. Taking forever to get served. Ordered breakfast the day before and had to wait 50min for the food to come.

This isn’t really similar to any of the other Quintas throughout Mexico. Much more geared to business and that’s fine but it needs to be known. I have stayed at most of the Quinta Reals in Mexico and this isn’t really part of the portfolio. Great, great food. Lovely rooms as well.

the service was amazing!!! BUT our meal was ruined by a woman screaming about a glass being chipped.... i think she may have been an owner/manager since she was yelling about firing the waiter??? a terrible woman to have associated to the company; my family and i will not be returning if this is how they choose to run their business. employees should be respected

First time visiting here. It was a completely excellent experience. We stayed there for 3 nights and the reason for visiting was a wedding that was booked in one of their patios. The venue of the wedding very well decorated and a large space, the event was very well organized and we had a great time. As for the place as a hotel it was a first class experience. All the facilities and amenities are in very good shape. They have a golf course that is pretty well maintained with a really beautiful view. My husband played there and he was very happy and satisfied. The rooms are in excellent condition, everything extremely clean and in place. Nothing looked old and everything worked as it should. We had breakfast there 3 days and the food was really good. They have classic plates and also more local plates, with a good stamp and flavour. For lunch I tried a grilled octopus with some guajillo flavour. It was superb. They care about the taste and preparation of the food, so I'd say it's even a good place just to visit the restaurant. I've been looking for this octopus place and here I found it. It really has the balanced with the galuajillo spice and some garlic taste that is not excessive, just enough, just right. I really loved and I wish I could have it at least once a month.The service was perfect. If you visit this city I definitely would recommend this place as the first option if you don't want to be surprised with any expectation. I'm not sure if this is a 5 stars hotel, but if it's a 4, it definitely seems a 5. The price is that a 4 stars, so if you care about the quality of the place and price is not an issue, I think this is the best place to stay in this city.

The place has some very good and some horribly bad things that I will explain. The only reason why this review even has stars is because of the very kind and hard working people at the restaurant and the golf warehouse. They are good. Good: The staff is very helpful, the facilities are amazing (even while some areas are under construction) and the hotel is located in a beautiful place that is surrounded by a golf course. Bad: The gym or weight room is a small place where some machines are top of the line while others will stain your clothes with rust if you get too close, but that's not the problem. There is no instructor and while the limit inside is 6 people wearing masks, at times there are well over 15 guests not wearing them and nobody cares about that even if you report it. Another thing, and the reason why I won't go back to this hotel is the "other" golf course. There are 4 holes located somewhere else that is only accessible through an underground tunnel. On my day off I decided to play and go to those 4, that's when I encountered a weird and very uncomfortable part of the hotel. That area is filled with trucks, dogs not on a leash and people who clearly have guns. They will aggressively follow those who deviate even a little from the designated path and seemed very eager to display violence or harass. They would suddenly take off running or speeding in their trucks, shout randomly and at one point close a path and angrily scream questions. I had to visit Torreon for a couple days and I don't plan to ever stay in the same place again if I come back. Edit: I can't reply to the response I got from this place regarding this, but I really would like to know what was going on in that place, why angry men with guns were allowed to harass guests and if this was a cartel related thing. I waited until I was home to post this because the situation was intimidating and I wanted to be far away before asking this kind of question
