Hotel Belmar - 77500 Isla Mujeres

Centrally located, clean, economical, Colonial feel, but with air conditioning, hot water, every room with its own private bath--I've explored 10 places on Isla Mujeres, and--all things considered--this is where I have been coming for 12 years.

The rooms of the hotels are super charming, decorated with 'colonial' style tiles and colors. We loved it! We also had a little balcony, which added a nice touch to our room. The bed was big and comfortable. The hotel is located on a busy-ish street and if you are a light sleeper, perhaps you would be better off elsewhere, but for us it wasn't an issue. Breakfast isn't included, but there are many good options nearby. In conclusion, it's a great value for the price.

Very cosy and clean hotel for a decent price (~1000Mx/night). The staff is very nice. The hotel is located on a pedestrian street in the middle of the city center. 4 stars only because we were on the 2nd floor and the water pressure was low, making a bit long to shower.

Only very basic breakfast included! No hot water on the first day. And very old(fashioned) facilities.

No windows on the outside, a lot of noise the evening and the morning. The restaurant cooler make the wall vibrates and create a huge noise. At least the bed is good.

Worse hotel Ive ever stayed at!! Room was dirty especially bathroom! Moldy shower, stained scratchy towels. No hot water! Only a small trinkle of cold water to try and shower after traveling all day. The bed looked dirty as well.The noise from restaurant below made it impossible to sleep until it was closed. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but after one night we checked out. I tried to get a refund for second night but no matter who I spoke to they acted like they didnt understand even though I heard them all speak english day before!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

The hotel was located in a great location but it is very noisy and some of the things that the booking said was included isn’t included. Hotel definitely needs some upgrades and better staff. The restaurant below is very loud and they don’t care about the hotel guests. Won’t be returning

This hotel is right in the middle of town. Great to be next to it all. Its also above a restaurant. It's noisy. Not just the street, but the employees think when they arrive at work we should all wake up. 6am they yell back and forth to each other. They also turn up the music just to make sure your up. This is not a 3 star hotel. My room is dingy. Missing knobs on dresser. Not all the lights work. I had to ask to have windows on balcony cleaned. Needed to "rent" a beach towel. Included breakfast is a joke. Its a full service service restaurant but included breakfast is fruit, coffee, salad stick. Thats the bad so far. Good. Its right in town. Beaches are close. Balcony is nice for coffee in morning, if you go down and get some. Or drinks in the evening. Staff has been hit or miss. Mostly good but Im feeling their job is not to make your stay better, just get you through it.
