GET THE OCEAN VIEW ROOM! ❤️ ? Overall, our stay was great but I need to firstly acknowledge that the photos of the non ocean view rooms ARE misleading. We were initially shocked and disappointed with the size. The rooms are big enough for a bed and some luggage and that’s about it but if you’re not planning on being in the room much (which we weren’t) it’s not the end of the world, especially for the price! That said, the ocean view room we had for 3 nights was perfect! Big thank you to (Geraldina spelling?) I think is her name, she went above and beyond to get us into the ocean view for our honeymoon. The team of staff is hard working and friendly. Domaso and Geraldina (hope I spelled this right) along with the bartender from Argentina who greeted me by name every day, stood out as exceptional. The food from their menu is actually very good. I highly recommend the Aguachile! However, the included breakfast is very basic. Like 1-2 scrambled eggs and 2 pieces of toast with a small scoop of refried beans. Very modest. The beach access in this area of the beach was probably the best in the area! We will never forget sitting under the beach umbrellas sipping our Kan Margaritas! However, even though the hotel is adults only, the hotel will rent out beach chairs for the day to anyone on the beach including people with children so the beach is not adults only. Thank you to everyone who helped make our honeymoon special!

We weren't quite sure what to expect after reading some of the reviews but I have to say that we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel looked very nice, our room was nice too, clean and big enough for us. The AC worked well, there was warm water at all times, a safe, tv with netflix, wifi etc. The location of the hotel is great because it's right at the beach (btw. the nicest part of the beach imo) and super close to 5th avenue as well. The staff was very friendly. You can use the beach chairs and umbrellas for free, that's a plus. Since the pool view rooms have glas doors and are very close to the pool it can be a bit noisy in the rooms when there is music outside or loud guests but at night it was quiet so sleeping wasn't a problem.

We enojed our stay. The rooms are very basic (but affordable and quiet) and it has a nice pool with private beach access. There is also a bar with reasonably priced drinks/food.

They have 2 option-nice hotel with beach excess from one side and terrible old bungalow from other side without beach access . No water at all( we bought water to wash faces and flush toilet , they said it is often here ) . Loudly music all night , no sound isolation. Cannot sleep at all till 3 am . Do not stay in bungalow do not worth it at all. No parking you need pay 200 Pessoa and bring staff by yourself. Only bed and pillows is ok .

Rip off!!! Worst experience ever in my life! never book this hotel again. I canceled my future stays directly after this horrible experience today. The Customer Service is more than a disaster! Customers are getting ripped off. they charge extra money for dirty towels. They charged me for a dirty towel 20 usd. the explanation is, the dirty towel is a destroyed towel. in reality : they just can put it in the wash maschine and the towel in one hour like completely new. (it had catched some chocolate, because the chocolate in our begs melted). It wasn’t even wine or so, where you need additional special soap. Actually this hotel should get a pentalty for treating customers so badly!

Demetrio and his wife make this place to go! They are so quick to help you by bringing food, drinks or just adjusting your beach umbrella!!! Highly recommend coming for an extended stay or just a day on the beach. They are the reason this a great place to stay or to just hang out and enjoy the best beach in Playa!!

There are two sides of the property. We stayed on the Boutique Hotel side, NOT the Cabañas side. Make sure you know what you're reserving. We didn't see the Cabañas side, but we understand it is a very different experience. The hotel side is perfect for a beach getaway. You can walk right out to the beach where there are chairs and umbrellas to relax and lots of vendors selling mango, coconut water, jewelry, who are not pushy. The hotel offers respite if you want to be around less activity, but still see the ocean. It feels rustic and relaxing and it's small enough that there are never a ton of people at the pool or the bar/restaurant. The hotel is super close to the busiest section full of shops and restaurants. Very close to the bus station. The free beach chairs and umbrellas are great and there are a bunch of places to lounge throughout the property. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. The wifi was stable and strong. I was able to work remotely pretty easily. The AC in the room was great for a break from the humidity. The service at the restaurant (in the restaurant and on the beach) is great. Rosa, a server at Vestige (the on-site restaurant), is the absolute best. She made us feel welcome and comfortable in a way one doesn't often experience on vacation. She has an authentic friendliness that is often missing in tourist areas. Downsides - The rooms do not have a refrigerator and the shower head shoots water every direction but down. There are also not any hooks in the bathroom for towels, wet bathing suits, etc. We made it work by using the shower door and hangers, but it wasn't ideal. Even with the downsides, still totally worth it and we'll definitely be back.

I reviewed hundreds of hotels/airbnbs before our trip to playa and ended up choosing Kinta Kan. I am so happy I did! The hotel is affordable, there is a wonderful pool, beach access with a great bar, you are steps from fifth Ave but far enough that the music isn’t bothersome and the rooms are updated and cleaned well each day. The beach and pool area also serve as a beach club during the day, so there is a bit more activity, but I have had no issues finding seating. At 7pm they gate off the beach and the only entry is through the front office which seems very safe. The staff members on the premises are so kind, hardworking and helpful. When checking in, I had originally booked a Deluxe Pool View Room, but they offered an ocean view for $24 more a night. I looked at both rooms (they had the same amenities) but the view and a small patio were worth the extra cost in my opinion. Small things that would make a big difference: There are no mini fridges in the rooms and the beds are fairly hard (though a Matress pad would likely make a huge difference!)
