★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great meal. I was sceptical about a good French restaurant in San Sebastian, but our Airbnb host highly recommended. I had not read reviews, but did check prices. Looked spendy for Mexico. Starter of olive tapenade was complimentary, my husband had Lamb Ossobuco, I had the trout in caper lemon sauce. Both were absolutely delicious, I had recently had trout in the pyrenees in France, to be honest this was better. The best meal we have had in a long time, plus a spectacular view and staff were precious. Would be double the price in the US for this quality. I would make the trip to San Sebastian just for this.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a superb evening we had at Villa Nogal! The food was excellent as was the service. Cynthia welcomed us and ensured that every detail was attended to by Roman, Alfredo and Ricardo. The view was splendid; the ambience as the sun set was quiet, peaceful and relaxed. The chef deserves the highest praise for exquisite tastes in the ceviche, pork rib and shrimp. We would highly recommend lunch or dinner at Villa Nogal if you visit San Sebastian, which has been a fantastic stop on our Mexican journey.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ OK - if you say it's not your employees burning the trash in the alley, I will take you at your word and the next time I see someone burning trash outside of your hotel, we can put a stop to it together.
The burn pile is directly (approx 2m) on the alleyway outside of the gate at the side of your property. The clouds of smoke are gray to black, I would find it hard to believe no one at the villa knows this is going on.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ beautiful view in dining area. Bring a sleeve or sweater at night and wear socks n shoes. it gets cold after dark. Like a lot of places these days due to covid, the restaurant suffers working with a skeleton crew. The cream potato soup is wonderful like a bisque. The onion soup is very rich. Trout was ok... everything just seemed a bit more homogenized than i remember. DAMN YOU COVID!@@
