Hotel Casa corazón Bacalar - 77930 Bacalar

A small hotel, but with access to the lagoon of 7 colors, a special place to spend a few days the peace offered by the place is incredible, the nights are beautiful and the attention from the staff was excellent. Thank you very much for the attention we hope to return soon.

The hotel is located about 10 minutes away from Bacalar's Zócalo (by car), it's a small hotel but the rooms are clean and in good conditions. It has a nice dock with hammocks where you can swim and rest. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but it has a common fridge, so buy a little food or plan to have breakfast elsewhere. Would stay there again

This was the second time I visit this hotel, the first time was a couple of years ago and I can confirm is in heavy decay, the rooms now feel more like a hostel (the even placed an extra bed with a very poor quality base on the room), the mosquito net was broken, the fan made an awful noise, the pillows feel very old and with the lining all ball-shaped, even the towels they gave us had holes in them!! The amenities used to be artesanal and now they are poor (kind of motel) quality. On the outside areas they have broken sun-beds... it was just awful, the whole experience made me feel sad and ripped off

Its not an Eco Hotel at all! They give only one towel per person and if you ask another one you need to pay 50pesos extra. High price for what they offer and seems the instalations had never got maintenance, wifi doesnt work, is not possible to lock the windows, dirty room full of dust...

We stayed 3 nights. At our arrival we had to pay 1000 pesos extra of the price we got on our reservation through Booking. The room was ground floor next to the reception and the balcony could not be locked so basically anyone could access to the room if they wanted. After you arrive to the hotel you realise why there are no pictures from the bathroom, pictures attached. Overall room and bathroom were more towards dirty than clean and we even got to ask for new towel because they were dirty. The worst hotel I've been on the price we paid. 200mts away also by the lagoon you can find much better and cleaner rooms per 900pesos less per day.

I hate to give two stars but I didn’t feel like the staff did anything to deserve more. Two of the receptionists were warm and welcoming , but the third seemed indifferent to our presence . Per the trip advisor price, we were over charged. The room was cramped with a full and a single wedged into a small quarters. The floor was dirty. The locks were flimsy (the sliding glass door didn’t lock). The shower backed up (although the hot water was good). We had a saloon door between our room and the toilet , so little privacy there. What disappointed me most was their complete lack of care when we asked for extra pillows (the pillows were thin). It wasn’t until I explained that one of the members of our party was ill that the receptionist begrudgingly grabbed us extras. Also, as others have complained , you can hear everything in the lobby at night when you’re trying to sleep , including the phone ringing. The one redeeming quality of this place, and the reason it got an extra star, is because their lagoon access is amazing! Otherwise, it’s going to take a lot more than a coat of fresh paint to fix this place . Buyer beware!

Quiet hotel but far away from the centre of town. 30/40min walk. Nice located on the water side The room was mouldy and smelly and the shower had almost no pressure or warm water. The Wifi wasn't good either, really slow and sometimes not available Staff was really friendly and helpfull.

This stay was one of my best in Mexico! Well placed, dream view, very comfortable and clean room. The managers are so cute too! ! Thanks a Lot !!
