Hotel Casa Loa - 77310 Holbox

Not well WiFi. No cloth hangers in wardrobe. One night (of three) it was very loud - music from pizzeria. Moskitiera wasn't tight - some mosquitos were present in room Quite expensive for this quality, but we booked at last minute.

Excellent location, couple of blocks from the main square, very quiet, clean, nice room, all new. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, will definitely go back!

Air Conditioner didn't work and no staff around at night to fix it. The hotel didn't offer any compensation at all even though I asked.

We booked three rooms for a group of 5 friends for 3 nights/4 days. Negatives: Everything started out badly. The check-in, which was supposed to be at 3 pm. We were told, the rooms will be ready at 3:30. Sorry, no, at 5 pm. Oups, no, at...6 pm.. Eventually, the last room was delivered at 8 pm in the evening. So we basically lost an entire afternoon and evening waiting and being told the rooms would be ready. This is a small hotel: 12 rooms only. Understaffed or poor management skills...are both to blame I believe. One of the rooms (Tomasita) was covered in mold (walls in bathroom and bedroom). Not like in the photos at all!!! During our entire stay, the rooms were serviced/cleaned only once (beds made and towels changed...). Positives: The hotel is well located...in the center of the island with many services close by: supermarket, laundry, bank, restaurants... Wifi is terrible (unstable: took me 8 minutes to send a simple 5 line email) contrary to what is mentioned in their hotel description. There is great potential for this hotel by they must work harder to provide the basic services of the hotel industry.

Bad experience with Casa Loa hotel. I booked one night from 29 to 30 Dec. The day after I received their mail confirmation (not the automatic reply). During the check-in, the guy at the reception (if we can call that a reception) deny and said that no room is available. Poor management, photos are fake. Finally they gave me a room. It was not clean at all. Disgusting ! This is a Motel not a hotel. I would not recommend this address.

We had a good time in Casa Loa. Bed was big and comfortable. Internet doesn’t work well. We arrived after 8:00 pm (after the lobby is closed) but they gave us the instructions of how to get our keys. The location is great, 5 minutes walk from the ferry and 5 minutes walk to the beach. We didn’t need to use bicycles nor taxis to go places (we even walked to Punta Cocos). Air conditioning and shower worked great.

This hotel is in the heart of Holbox Island. Everything is close :-) Beaches, center, bars, restaurants, cafes, rentals, port, etc. The hotel has nice and clean facilities. The people at the front desk are very accommodating. I definitely recommend. The price-quality ratio is great. David.

We liked the hotel as it has clean, modern and comfortable rooms, a functional design, a beautiful bathroom, nice staff, indirect lights next to the bed, a good location (close to the center, but not too close making the hotel very silent at night), a supermarket next door and a good fan and air-conditioning.
