Hotel Casa Ortiz - 79000 Cd Valles

Rooms are just ok, but at least very clean. Pool was green when we were there. Service was very bad. Breakfast is not worth mentioning. Location is good.

This place is cute during the day, but awful at night. Neighbors play amplified karaoke in the yard next door all night. Hotel has no heating, so beware if it may be cold during your stay. Currently 9C/48F. Stay elsewhere if possible -- its just not worth the money.

Nice quiet place near the city center and some shopping options. They have a nice garden with a big pool. Everything is very clean and the murals really add positively to the atmosphere. The breakfast is basic but ok. The service is nice. They recommend med us a taxi driver to drive us to most of the cascadas in the area in one day. Ciudad Valles itself has not that much to offer but Casa Ortiz was a perfect base to discover the Huasteca Potosina

Beds were uncomfortable. Place too noisy due to inconsiderate guests. No refrigerator to place drinks. Same breakfast every day. Glasses smelled as if they were cleaned with moldy rags.

This hotel is the most modern & comfortable of all of Cuidad Valles. The room was lovely & large. The bed was super comfortable. The shower pressure was perfect & water was hot .. just what you need after adventuring out in the jungle. The owner is one of the loveliest I’ve met in my travels she went above and beyond trying to help me with a clothing issue I had. She is so nice & charming. Beautiful inside & out. The young lady who checked us in the morning was pleasant and accommodating we arrived a lot earlier than expected at 7am and checked us in smoothly! I was so grateful. The other front desk staff was just ok not very helpful. This is the best place to stay in Cuidad Valles. Highly recommend. On a side note - try tacos huichol delicious food!

So, the place is pretty, the pool looks cosy and the rooms are nice. The personal on the other hand... Was... Yeah. What really killed the mood for my parents was the walky talky outside their dorm room starting to emit unbearable loizd and annoying radio sounds at 6:30 in the morning. We were a group of 6 people coming to breakfast at 9 o'clock when the breakfast "buffet" was open until 10 o'clock and the kitchen personal didn't really want to refill the eggs even when toled that we are more people that would like to eat. Also it seemed waytoo much effort for them to do simple sunny eggs and said "this is all we can cook". What really was the cherry on top, was, that when my father went to complain, the lady at the desk said "the breakfast was a courtesy" (which it wasn't, we paid actuall money for it) and "the radio is a way of communication so..." Rude.

In general, the hotel is good and well decorated. Breakfast is complete. We met the owners and they were great. Its a shame that the service provided by the desk is terrible and the cleanliness is not great. (Stains on the bed sheets and walls)Staff is not friendly or helpfull at all, they are rude.

Nice and well-located hotel, spacious and clean rooms. One part is still under construction, making that area quite dusty. The swimming pool is nice, although the water is hot. Staff is mostly friendly except for one lady, who is the definition of grumpy and won't lift a finger for you.
