Location is far from the city center, but tranquility is what we are after.
Also the restaurant here is amazing, so we are perfectly happy eating all three meals here.
Service is friendly and attentive. We love our room as it overlooks the pool.
Would love to stay here again! Highly recommended for a perfect getaway.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a wonderful hotel. The staff was lovely, especially Carlos at the front desk. We also enjoyed the restaurant on site very much. Was hard to leave the hotel! This hotel is a 15 taxi ride from city center but it was nice to be in a quiet neighborhood in the hills above the city. Strong recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful place to stay. Spacious suite with comfortable bed, first rate amenities, and quiet private veranda. Restaurant has a wide variety of excellent food with attentive friendly staff with who speak good English. Very relaxing. Only a 15 minute taxi ride to the bustle of Oaxaca Centro. Nice to have quiet morning breakfast in the open air restaurant with lovely views and option for a late evening meal with a cool breeze and the surrounding green foothills as a backdrop

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a bad experience with check-in with my service dog. For such a nice hotel, and given the price, the staff were severely under prepared for this situation. We waited 1.5 hrs, missed the sunset, and were not offered any sort of consolation for making us wait (and argue) while they "checked the laws" regarding service animals. The manager finally emerged after 45 mins, looked at my dog, continued to patronize me with 'how cute he is', and finally let us into the hotel.
Other than that, hotel was nice. Quiet for Oaxaca city, which is a godsend if you are trying to relax after the beach or mountains.
We booked the suite with the jacuzzi, but be aware it is difficult to regulate the temperature...the front desk will do it for you while you're out for dinner, but if your dinner goes longer than expected, the hot tub will be too hot and unusable.
The food and room service was great. Staff other than manager were very nice.
