ROOM: Booked a deluxe room for 2 nights. Room didn't have windows, only a small door. Dark and depressing room. 1 chair with not so fresh upholstery. Was an issue with stained bed sheets which they replaced upon my request. Bathroom didn't have a window neither and had a very intriguing smell of disinfection product. Luckily I spend the entire day and most of the evening in town so had to use the room only to sleep/shower. INTERNET : got the password upon checking in. Didn't work... tried in all corners of the property but still no connection. Met another guest who told me that the internet was not working, she was already in the hotel for a few days. I can understand very well that there are internet problems in those countries but then tell you guests about it! it would have saved me time and effort. I complained about the internet on the second day, the day of my check out. The receptionist gave me another link to connect but also this one....didn't work! The other lady which I had met stayed 1 week in the Casa Liza, 1 week without internet. NOISE: San Miguel is famous for weddings, there are outdoor party places very close to the hotel. Breakfast staff is very friendly. LOCATION: a 15 minutes walk to town, very steep. Best of my 2 days staying : the moment I could leave.

I booked a junior suite with two beds and it wasn’t available. They gave me a long explanation about my booking agent giving them different information than they gave me so they moved me into a junior suite with a bed and a very dirty sofa bed. They then moved me out of that room and into a regular room (not junior suite) with two beds, no AC, and no hot water. There are MANY hotels in the area. I do not recommend you stay here.

Beautiful, peaceful b&b with an amazing garden! Loved the cozy atmosphere and beds were pretty comfortable. It gets cold at night so make sure to ask for a heater. Breakfast was also nice and served in the terrace. Hard to maneuver a stroller or wheelchair, given the amount of stairs, but they were kid friendly and accommodating. It’s also next to Parque Juarez and about a 10 min walk to the centro.

While the hotel is beautiful, it is not made elderly friendly. Coming down from my room, I almost fell down because the last step is higher than the others. The eating area is outdoors and it was freezing. It could use some heaters. The manager did not look happy at all. I did not feel comfortable asking her anything. She tried to be friendly, but clearly it is not her forte. The view is incredibly beautiful.

Stayed for 2 nights. got there and bathroom was dirty with the previous people's dirty soap on the shower. Couldn't get any sleep or rest since the two adjacent properties had all night parties/weddings. Honestly it sounded like the speakers were right outside my door. Asked for a room change (was on 105) which I wasn't granted. Wasn't even granted a late check-out so I could get some rest before driving back to CDMX.

beautiful, well-maintained hotel in an excellent location. quaint rooms overlooking the lush, colorful terraces littered with trees, flowers, and cacti. sunsets here are to die for. even was lucky enough to catch a few monarch butterflies on their migration south. the staff is also extremely kind and helpful.

This hotel is in an excellent location, the grounds and views are very nice. Otherwise, it's mediocre. Wifi is deficient. One of the two rooms we booked (106) had furnishings that made it look cozy, the other looked like it wasn't even finished (205) with barely any furniture and bad-looking concrete finishes. They don't offer good coffee. Weddings next door are loud, the kind of good news is that they end at midnight sharp. Room 106 had a bad smell. We were never able to make the safe work. One person from our party cut herself with a nail sticking out on her door. There's such a wide offer of hotels in San Miguel, so I don't really recommend it.

Our return visit after a romantic weekend in 2019 was disappointing. It looked a little run down, and we were stuck in a room with no windows, a broken chair, broken screen door, and a floor pitted and stained. We got a good discount through Booking.com, and wonder if we got the worst room in the place as a result. I hope our experience was a fluke and other rooms are in better shape.
