The best hotel in CDMX!! Service was amazing. I will this this hotel a 10 stars if I can. Front desk personnel very pleasant and informative. The rooms are very nice. Beds are very comfortable. Nice shower with hot water. Very clean!!! Room service is amazing we were super tired last night but hungry! And we called for food and it was very cheap and delicious! It's in a very safe area plus very close to ZOCALO!!! Walking distance! If I ever come back to CDMX. I will come back to this hotel.. Thank you all the staff that works there for there hard-work and dedication to customer. 100 stars ⭐️ ? For their customer service!!!!!! Thank you Hotel Castropol!!!!

Everything was great! Except there was no refrigerator and no microwave! Except that everything was alright!

Absolutely not customer oriented Pros: Good location, center of downtown, near Zocalo Square. Comfortable beds, there is a heater in the room, but we did not use it. Free daily water bottles for guests, fast and stable internet connection. Cons: The lighting in the room is tragical one - even when all lights are turned on, it's still too dark. While taking a shower, you have to wait for 10-15 minutes for hot water. There is no fridge in the room (issue when you have your own food), plus there wasn’t even the simple cup ar glass for a drink. Elevator of the hotel is super slow. Staff in the reception is completely indifferent towards the guests: they give you the keys and that's all. They won't advise what to visit in the area, they won't give you any map, they haven't showed even where the restaurant was - absolutely no information for the guests, you must find everything by your own. Even when you go out or return from the city, hotel staff in the reception will not say you even "Good morning" or something. They are hiding behind the monitors and sometimes you did not see them at all. Room cleaning service is super slow and long lasting - you can imagine how we were schocked, when we have returned at 5 PM and found room cleaning lady still inside our room. I think, that these cleaning works must be finished until 3 PM at the latest. Although beds are comfortable, they are covered with a non-breathable bed sheet, which made us both sweat constantly at night. Silence, respect of other guests to the sleeping people and soundproofing rooms in the hotel do not exist at all. Even at 2-3 AM children were running in the corridors and screaming, adults were laughing and making noise while going to their rooms - the quality of sleep has been very poor in this hotel.

Room was fine. But Unstable network lady who work on second floor restaurant seem like racismo, can’t feel any respect to the customer.

The hotel is located very close to the Zocalo and Pino Suarez subway station, which was one reason we chose it in the first place. The rooms have everything you'd expect from a hotel of that price range, but they have certainly seen better days. Beds were a bit too soft for me, so this might be something to bear in mind. Where this experience fell apart was really the service and the breakfast. First of all we had booked through booking.com including breakfast, but were told the first morning that breakfast was in fact not included, so we ended up paying for breakfast, which is quite affordable anyway. However, when we got there we were told that our three year old would have to pay a la carte - fine. We ordered her some cereal, which came promptly, but we were then informed that they did not have milk. What hotel does not serve milk with cereal? Staff was really quite rude and would not offer a solution to this problem, so we had to pay for cereal that our daughter could not enjoy. The next day we had the same situation, but noticed that they had chocolate milk in a fridge, so requested that instead, which of course had to be paid for as well. Every day again we had to bring our receipt for the breakfast as well. Why can't they see that we paid based on the room numbers? The whole breakfast interaction was painful and the most unpleasant I've ever seen anywhere in the world. It made us feel as if we were a burden on the staff and they weren't happy to be there at all. If we choose to stay here again, we'll take breakfast somewhere else, where our presence is appreciated.

4.5 stars. Excellent value. I stayed there 10 days. The restaurant wasn't drowning in ambience but the food was good and fairly priced. My number one criticism is that they should use less of their soap or disinfectant in the cleaning solution used in the rooms. I always had to keep a window open and run the insuite fan to air it out. It's centrally located near the Pino Suarez metro stop. Lots to like about this place.

I stayed at this hotel many times while living in Mexico, and I always stay there when I return. It's not a fancy hotel but it has everything I need to be comfortable. It's quiet in the rooms. It's perfectly located in Centro, near a metro station, and an easy walk to everything. It's inexpensive. It's clean. The restaurant (breakfast) is good and cheap. Some have said the staff are rude. I say they're very professional and, unless you need them, they leave you alone. I suggest you call ahead because this gem of a hotel is in high demand. Highly recommended.
