Hotel de la Paz - 36000 Guanajuato

Excellent hotel right in the heart of the city. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Had my destination wedding in Guanajuato and this was the hotel we chose for ourselves and our guest. Many hotels dont let outside guest in. But they were able to make arrangements and welcomed my photographer, videographer, and stylist without any problem. Best hotel of the area. One of the few facilities with AC, and continental breakfast. Everything is found within walking distance and the rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. My father was in a wheelchair and they did EVERYTHING to accommodate him and make him feel comfortable as well. The entrance is not disabled-friendly, nonetheless there was always someone by the entrance ready to help him in and out. I also left behind my dirty laundry and didn't realize till I got home. Thankfully my sister-in-law was still there, and they were able to locate my belongings and personally hand them to her. I will definitely be staying here everytime time I go now.

PROS: The room is very clean The bed is comfy and big enough. Easy access to famous places in the city. The staff is friendly. CONS: This is the noisiest hotel I’ve ever been. It is like trying to sleep inside of a huge warehouse with full of people. This is what I heard instead of falling asleep: 1. The sound of people going up and down the stairs, drunken people talking, shouting... AMAZING ECHO! 2. The huge sound of the elevator 5 minutes intervals; where are you guys going 4 in the morning? It even sounds as if a space shuttle is taking off.

Excellent hotel , comfortable and simple. In a well maintained building. Close to the fun part of Guanajuato, but still a little far from the craziness of the main Plaza. Judith at the front desk was great! She helped us a lot through our stay. I'm general all the staff was really nice.

I would stay here again. The staffs are always amazing and ready to help. Customer Service 5/5! We got there an hour early from check in time and luckily all of our rooms were ready. We stayed rooms 1 and 3 (both have balcony) and another at 16. Just be mindful that it could get loud at night until dawn, because of the restaurants in the plaza. We also liked the rooftop to see the view of the colorful houses and the Al Pilpa. Complementary breakfast at Don Lucas was perfect as well. The servers were attentive and food was always delicious. They serve it to you, maybe due to the pandemic. There is a 30 min time limit, and we did respect that. Our group really enjoyed this trip to Guanajuato and they really love Hotel de La Paz! They keep bragging about it lol. It is in the heart of the town and walking distance to almost everything. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Perfectly located with easy walking distance to just about everything. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Definitely will stay here again!

Great hotel that is centrally located in Guanajuato. The rooms are very nice, clean, nicely decorated and have very comfortable beds and if you're lucky a balcony totakein the city. The hotel staff where very friendly and helpful. The breakfast provided at their other hotel which is located a short 2min walk was delicious plentiful. I highly recommend this place and would love to stay again. We parked our vehicle on an off-site secured parking lot. Car is not necessary given the location of the hotel.

Pros: The hotel is situated within walking distance of all Guanajuato’s sights. The staff are friendly. Cons: I needed to buy earplugs to sleep due to noise from both inside and outside of the hotel. Our bathroom had a bad odor during our two-day stay.

I had high hopes for this hotel but it fell short. Pros: Location is great. Right in the historic district and walkable to everything. Cons: For $100 USD I’d expect a coffee maker in the room. Instead they have a restaurant that is a block away BUT they give you a reservation. When we arrived they gave us a 10am reservation. Anyone with a child knows you’re awake for hours by 10am. I asked for an earlier time and they said they could not accommodate us. When we arrived at 10am we stood at the entrance for several minutes and were completely ignored by the staff. We were only in town for a day so we left and paid for breakfast in another restaurant. It’s also pretty loud and they should invest in some double paned windows. We used our iPad for white noise that worked fine. I’m pretty sure for $100 you can do better.
