M	Megan Sequeira on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Would not recommend. I have a service dog and the website specifically allows an exemption on paying fees. Claudia, the manager, and Andrea, the front desk hostess, did not honor that at all. Also, the room is incredibly hot and stuffy, even with the air conditioning on. No towels were provided either. If this is actually part of the Best Western brand, which Claudia and Andrea said they were not, I am highly disappointed. Location wise it is convenient as a stop over though.

It's a shame I cannot recommend this place as the lobby and grounds are nice. The double whammy for me was the room absolutely REEKED of cigarette smoke (and other unidentifiable smells) and then to boot, NO hot water. That is unacceptable for any hotel. This ranks up there with the worst hotels I have stayed in for half the price. I suggest you check out the room before paying. Right now I am too tired to go through the hassle of changing hotels. Maybe you will have better luck but for me. I will never stay here again.

The grounds are lovely, the staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and cool, and the restaurant serves good food. The complimentary breakfast was just enough--fruit, yogurt, buttered toast, and coffee--to get you back on the road again. You park right outside your room door, so you can keep watch on your vehicle. We had a room in the back, and it was quiet except for occasional noise from the highway. Overall a very pleasant stay.
V	Victor González on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Last minute decision, and I'm glad I decided for this hotel. The rooms are spacious, well organized and clean, the bathroom is also very nice. I had a minor problem with the TV in the room and they were quick to solve. The pool could be a bit cleaner but that's alright, also, the restaurant is bit pricey. Other than that, it's a very welcoming surprise. I'd recommend it.
J	Judy Travis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Like this property but disappointed in the new pet policy that wasn't communicated through Hotels.com. i reserved a king but hotel's policy gives only 2 doubles for travelers with pets and said I would have to deal with Hotels.com to refund the difference. Mattress was worn out and very uncomfortable which is probably why they are designated pet rooms. Update 3/10/22 the hotel refused hotels.com request to refund the difference in the room cost.
J	Jane DeSchepper on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ How can Hotel del Rio improve? Fix the handle on the entry door on room 130 – it was all loose & wiggly, a challenge to unlock, and there was only the one lock. Poor quality bedding and bath linens. We had two bottles of shampoo, but no conditioner. Faster drink service in the restaurant (our second drink order arrived after we had eaten all our food). The restaurant food was good, courtyard pool area was beautiful, we appreciate the two bottles of water we found in our room, and the staff were all very nice. This hotel is barely 3 stars.

We learned a lot about the area, enjoy a wonderful mean, wandered the grounds, and had a restful sleep. Can't wait to return.
