The cleaning can be improved. Paid $641 American money which in Mexico is $11,858 pesos for 5 days and 4 nights the rooms are very outdated and our air conditioner was leaking a lot maintenance went in every single day throughout my stay. I will never be back to stay in this hotel don’t even waist your money the only reason they are even getting 2 stars is because their food was very delicious we payed for breakfast when my family and I reserved our room.

If i could give this establishment a ZERO i would. First of all i stayed here from 10/8/2020 to 10/13/2020 and it was the worst stay of my life it felt like a hotel from hell. If you're wondering how my stay was the room smelled, i had random hair in my sheets, my pillow had so much dust and my sisters room had random hair, her restroom smelled like pee, her room had mold and a dead cockroach. The only reason we stayed here was because my sister was having her quince here and they CANCELLED her party 5 days before and they are still refusing to pay my mother back the 37,500 pesos!!! Before you book your stay i recommend you look at other places cause this place is unprofessional and won't clean your room for room service. NOT WORTH IT!

Good hotel for the price. Direct access to the beach. Has a full size pool for adults and another pool for kids. Has a restaurant on-site. Friendly staff. Located at the beginning of the "malecon." Numerous places to eat nearby.

I got two rooms on Expedia. I unsatisfactorily give it a 2.5 star ⭐️ stay. First room of the paid “upgrade” was a 2 star and second room was a 3 star. We had two rooms (One for six nights and other for seven nights) Dissatisfied and disappointed. Definitely not a four star hotel, maybe 10 years ago. One room we had to change three times due to water on the floors around the beds. Third and final two bedroom was a 3 star (but after three moves!!). The other room we “upgraded” was not worth the extra charges or really considered an upgrade. The fridge was unsanitary with a baby roach dead on the door frame. The view was of the elevator right outside the balcony with a sliding door that didn’t lock, so if you wanted to you could enter through balcony into our room. Inconsistent water temperature in shower so impossible to get to a comfortable temperature. No light bulb for lamp on the counter and TV didn’t work (We don’t do much TV but that’s not the point). The bathroom wall had mold, it was dark with a mildew smell, it turned into a swamp after showering. The main door malfunctioned (final time complaining, not even security or management could open with “Master” keys so maintenance had to dismantle entire lock system only to “place” batteries so we could move out (room 425, 2 star). Spoke to the general manager Arnulfo and seemed concerned about our situation and moved us to another room (112, 3 star). It was smaller and per the complaints and issues presented he was going to give us credit (Arnulfo would push off each day after our move delaying any information concerning the requested reimbursement until it was time for us to leave. He failed to follow up with us regarding the issues since he placed responsibility of reimbursement on the “business” side. The staff was the difference though but we paid for something we expected to be a “4 star” housing facility only to have the initial experience of a 2 star. The final room we were moved to as the “upgrade” was better yet terrible in the end as the last two days, the drains in the bathroom gave off a sewage smell. Unsanitary. Why complain when we would only have to move to ‘another’ room and possibly encounter other issues? The pictures online are outdated showing what the “Emporio” once was maybe 10 years ago. The location is perfect yet they cannot advertise to be a 4 star for that is false advertisement. Ownership should be ashamed but most importantly acknowledge their staff to be their true asset and compensate them properly. It’s been months now and I’ve yet to get a response about the complaints and refund of “upgrade” request!

Oh my goodness! Get your life at the gorgeous, luxurious hotel! The ocean view is beyond compare, the amenities are well kept, and the staff is very attentive.

Robbed!!!! They stole $600 from our safe!! American's don't stay here! They see us and assume we are all rich and can throw away our cash. They did an "investigation" to no result other than claiming no one ever entered our room. We had a second room that had $200 stolen from a coin purse in the safe as well. We were Targeted!! Why??? Never coming back here to this #hotelEmporio. Mazatlan is beautiful, choose wisely travelers

Do not book here. That is all. Just don't. Horrible booking experience with a time share company. Not sure why this hotel is even listed with any timeshares. Had to switch rooms because the first room was not what we booked and the new room is only half of what was mentioned at the time of booking. Yes I agree with everyone else that the staff are friendly and go above and beyond, but the reception staff do not accommodate well. I understand they are just doing their job. But please do not book here just because the staff are nice. Staff are nice everywhere here in Mazatlán. This hotel however is old and dirty and is due of an upgrade inside and out.

We requested a ground a floor and it was the worst ever. The minute we opened the door it smelled like mildew/mold. The walls/ceiling/sheer white curtains had mold. The restroom tile was also dirty and moldy. I sat on the bed for a few minutes and even the beds felt humid. Even breathing in that room felt hard. I went to front desk to tell them and they moved us to another ground floor, was not as muggy/humid as the first one but still had a bad smell to it. They stated that most of the ground floors are like that due to the climate but I have stayed in other ground floor hotels and had never experienced the mold/mildew. I didn't want this experience to ruin our trip so we went to the pharmacy across the street and bought Lysol/Clorox wipes just to ease my mind. Rooms definitely need to be remodeled/bleached thoroughly. I will never stay here again. On a good note, staff was very nice, attentive and friendly but then again they all are in Mazatlan!
