★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hotel. We arrived at 2am and reception was closed, but we called the number and owner, Ricardo, came racing down to let us in. Ricardo was very accommodating and gave us everything we need. Despite a rough travel night, Ricardo's hospitality made everything better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spacious, clean room with towels, fan and AC at a reasonable price located 5 minutes walk from the main plaza, where there is a choice of places to grab food. The owner is a gent, and a longstanding resident of Bacalar. He arranged a boat trip, with an informative guide, around the spectacular lake, including taxi drop off and pick up at a fair price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Witnessed the reception calling the police on some girls who rightly refused to pay a late check-out. They couldn't check out on time as the reception wasn't staffed for hours.... We cancelled our booking and left again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible, staff extremely rude and unfriendly. They send us away because they overbooked, even though I had a confirmed booking and paid a deposit. Place looked pretty bad, for this price there are a lot of other accomodations in Bacalar that are way nicer. Don’t stay here!
