Hotel Estancia Real - 47000 San Juan de los Lagos

Hotel que le falta mantenimiento, se ha deteriorado. Las habitaciones están sucias, toallas que parecen trapeador, sábanas percudidas, control de tv sin funcionar, llaves de regadera no funcionan bien. Tuve que pedir cambio a otra habitación por estar sucia la que me asignaron inicialmente; me proporcionan otra y al entrar se encontraba con las camas destendidas y sucias, tal vez acababa de ser desocupada o estaba en uso, pero no se encontraban las personas (con qué seguridad dejas tus cosas en la habitación) Lástima, lo han dejado caer mucho y el que atiende en recepción, no tiene ni idea de cuál ya está en uso y cuál no.

Es un hotel tres estrellas, pero la atención por parte del personal es cinco estrellas, lo recomiendo mucho si van en grupos grandes son muy comprensibles con eso, el hotel es muy bonito pero le falta mantenimiento a las instalaciones aún así los muebles y la decoración lo mejoran mucho, los colchones no muy cómodos y las sábanas y almohadas están algo desgastadas. En general si lo recomiendo porque el precio es justo para lo que ofrecen. Me sentí muy cómodo con su personal ellos si que me harían volver a quedarme en ese hotel.

Nice Hotel near the town center and near of the catholic basilic. In the hotel are a nice restaurant with cheap prices and good food. The rooms are with plenty of space without noise and comfortable.

As other reviews mention, the location of this hotel is great.. And there are lots of pros, but I'll attempt to highlight some of the cons (at least cons in my book) Pros : Again, great location in the center of town. There's a small Cafe right next to it. In fact there's an adjoining entrance from the hotel. Staff - all are very nice. They were very accommodating to our requests (not surprising) and in our case we found cleaning staff to be pretty honest to the point they didn't take the money we left on the bed (we try and remember to tip the cleaning staff). Cleanliness - the rooms were pretty clean. Found a fair amount of dust and hair under the beds and in the corners but the place was not filthy. Beds have protective mattress coverings which is a good sign. And there were no bed bugs. Towels and bedding were clean. Cons : Room temperature : we stayed when the evenings were in the 40s outside and we found that rooms with windows get pretty cold at night There was no heater in out rooms (suite) yet there was an AC unit. Proximity to hallway: Safety: each room has JUST a door lock. No dead bolt or additional locking mechanism from with a room. That might be okay in some places, but being the middle of town and with there is no external security, anyone can walk off the street and right into the hotel and wander each floor from the stairwell. As a result, a moved one of the night stands in front of the (locked) door ever night. Because there's a restaurant on the 4th floor, it's open to the public. One evening I found someone passing by the room giggle the handle. Fortunately the door was locked. Internal noises : not sure how or why but it was unavoidable to hear noises from upper level bathroom usage. Flushing and use of the shower. Not very noticeable unless you are already in bed trying to sleep. And then there is the plumbing. The layout of some of rooms has this open bathroom setting (no doors). As a result you can't avoid the flushing and plumbing noises from upstair neighbors. External noises : the windows and patio doors are not sound proof so if your sensitive to noises at night bring ear plugs. The rooms have black out shades so that's a plus. In all, staying here was a pleasant experience but we'll likely opt for something different, more secure, and with bathrooms with doors.
