Update: Stayed again in July 2017 for CFM Aljaba. Sheets were very good quality. Bed was hard like sleeping on the ground with a sleeping bag. I thought i would not be able to sleep but i slept amazingly well. No free breakfast. Breakfast costs about $5 US dollars per breakfast. You can order a la carte. They now have a small but delicious 24 hour food service, alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. The coffee is better than coffee houses. This time I stayed in the cheapest room about $22 USD. It's far nicer than a Motel 6. But less than a Holiday Inn Express. The shower is the worst part. The bottom knob is cold - and I mean ice cold water only. The top knob is hot water only which means really warm water. You get about 5 minutes of warm water and then the flow stops. You must turn off the water while you freeze and wait for the tank to refill then turn on the hot water again full hot to rinse off the soap. I learned to shower fast. Hot water eases my joint pain. It gets cold here at night into the 50s. I am from a hot area of the USA so its very cold to my joints here. The TV is like a plasma screen. The staff is polite -- but none are bilingual so bring your translation apps with you. Staff seems to be on duty 24/7. During CFM- Aljaba week the hotel is loud the last week in July as people leave in the morning and return at night The hotel has Wi-Fi. There is a very small table but no office chair. It is for people passing through. There was only one outlet in my room by the sink. My extension cord did not reach to the desk. So I wish I had brought a much longer extension cord. My point is that the cheaper the rate the less you get. You get no views at the cheapest rates. I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend to friend an family. The higher cost rooms are more upscale and some have a great view of the volcano. I posted photos and hope they help. No one at the hotel spoke English. I was a solo female traveler. I felt safe at the hotel. I stayed for 4 days. I compare this hotel to a Holiday Inn Express in the USA - they are about the same. The hotel has different levels of rooms. The room did not have heat or air conditioning. At night it was cold. This is like a motor hotel for people who are driving through the area. This area does not have many options for hotel stays. Nothing is in the area. The streets have many holes and I did not feel safe walking around the area because I do not speak Spanish and look very different from the people. The hotel did not offer to help with anything. The breakfast was included and it was delicious. There is no where to meet if you have a group of people. The breakfast area is very small. The rooms look like what is in the photo. They are smoking rooms and smell like cigarettes. My favorite part was that my room faced the volcano. I loved looking outside at the volcanoes each morning with the snow on the volcanoes in July. If you are planning to stay at this hotel, bring warm clothes and an extra blanket. I would stay here again and recommend this hotel for friends and family. I read the negative reviews. Please read them carefully. Mainly the people are angry because this hotel costs more than expected so the people expected better accommodations and services. I had no expectations, so I was not disappointed. I never met any staff. I paid the receptionist by pushing money through the glass window. I recommend paying by credit card or pesos. I have seen much worse hotels in the USA that cost more.

Best hotel to stay at while one of the 300 local car repair shops fixes you broken car. Make sure not to disturb the local carpenter family's sleep while you stroll through the town at night. Their houses aint got no walls. Dunno why they can make top-notch furniture but no walls for their houses

Probably one of the best hotels in the town. Clean and fairly quiet even it’s close to the main road. The motel part is for people who come to “have fun”…

First of all it's a motel + hourly hotel. You will probably end up here, because you want to climb Iztaccihuatl. The motel is very clean, everywhere. Rooms facing the main street are noisy almost whole night - forget about solid sleep. Restaurant is decent, meals ok, prices low. Staff at reception extremely unfriendly, zero customer service. Even leaving a bag stored for 3 hours was a problem for them.

Everything very clean, reception desk was available for late check in and Parkinson was provided in the court. Everything very clean. Quiet, as the rooms are leading to the court, however some dogs barking at night. Hot shower at night. No water boiler in the room. No complaints.
