Hotel Francis Drake - 24000 Campeche

Great friendly staff. The hotel needs some TLC. In our room, guys. you need to side saddle on the toilet. Lol the building has a Colonial style to it... It was remodelled about 30 years ago. Two things holding the property back... there's no elevator and there's only a few parking stalls under cover off the street... they are very tight. Comfy bed and room safe. The suite was nicely equiped.

The location of the hotel is superb. The Room was nice with very good air conditioning. There is a fridge in the room. The staff were friendly. No lift, the hot water takes a long time to heat up! Smells a little musky and a little outdated.

Nice place. The hotel is clean and the AC worked well for February. Safe deposit box worked well. The bathroom/toilet in Rm. 303 was small. WiFi never worked for me. For what I paid I’m happy. Breakfast was pretty basic. The staff were friendly and arranged a cab to the airport and opened the onsite restaurant a little early. I thought that was nice.

This is not a four-star hotel, it might truly be a two-star hotel, but a damn good two-star. It's a fairly straightforward, no-frills operation, but it's clean, it has A/C in every room, though it may be noisy, and there is a restaurant on premises, small though it is. What it has most of all is a great location, less than 10 minutes walk from the square and 5 minutes from the seafront. Yeah, the bed is not the most comfortable in the world but it's not the worst I've experienced in a hotel. There is hot water in the shower, a fridge a safe, and cable TV with a few English language channels. The parking under the hotel is a little bonus for those who can fit their car in it

Fair price and excellent location, however the room does need more of attention. The service as all service in this beautiful city was outstanding, and the breakfast included was very much appreciated and complete.

The hotel is located in a beautiful part of the city, it has charm and the staff is very friendly. However, I walked into my room and there was multiple issues. No hot water for showers, the tv has spots, and several things in the room are stained or broken. I would have over looked everything but 8 am in the morning, there was hammering. It woke my family up and we were unable to go back to sleep. I guess what bugs me is that for the same price I could have stayed somewhere else, but I was taken by the good reviews.
