Hotel Hacienda Campestre - 77019 Chetumal

I enjoyed my stay..the pool is huge and clean...the rooms are nice....I would return for another visit...

Very peaceful 'cause it's in the outside skirts of Chetumal. Wifi, breakfast included and closed parking available. In the morning, if you drive a couple of blocks towards Oxtankah, you'll find merchants in street corners selling delicious 'Pozol' and guayas :)

Good clean hotel with reasonable rental rates, very secure parking, especially useful to me as I have stayed here three times now, and have never had to worry about my motorcycle or luggage outside.

Favorite place to stay overnight in Chetumal. Lots of parking space all secure inside the compound. The rooms are spacious, and clean. Hot water in all the rooms. Rooms all have a TV nor fridge microwave or coffee maker, just a bed and a mirror. There is one big pool to go swimming and relax right next to the rooms. Also if you ask they will turn on the water slides just across the yard. Breakfast is included for every night although the food tastes quite bland. The check in is simple. Unfortunately you are about 10-20 minutes from the heart of town where all the shopping and restaurants are although that does make this hotel more peaceful.

On one of our usual trips to Chetumal, we went to stay at Hacienda which was once one of our favorite places to stay. We've been there more than once and when we go we go in groups usually booking 5 rooms since our extended family joins us. Well this time around everything went wrong from the beginning. When I booked I wasn't informed of a deposit of $500 pesos per room, plus it's not in there website. They insisted that we must pay so we did and checked in. One of the reasons we have always stayed here is because of their pool. As we usually do, we stay in the pool until we have to go somewhere. This time we started to get out of the pool earlier because we were getting ready to go out and eat. My brother, husband and cousin were the last to get out of the pool. While still in there, they noticed that there was an animal that resembled a rat in there. My brother asked my cousin to get a bag so they can take it out. They took it out and took it to the front desk to report it. To our surprise, the front desk turned on us. They accused us of putting the rat in the pool and they told us that they'll charge us for cleaning the pool. At this point everyone was upset of the accusations. First of all we have kids 8 years and younger why would we want to endanger their health by putting a rat in the pool. Secondly, why would we be carrying a rat with us? Thirdly, we simply reported it so they can get all the other guests out, we didn't ask for a refund or for free nights. We didn't threaten to sue them, we simply let them know because we truly liked the place. During our confrontation, they threatened to call the police on us and kick us out. We ended up staying the night as it was late and we didn't have much options. The next day we checked out quickly, and they sent someone to inspect all our rooms to ensure that nothing was broken. They treated us as criminals and obviously they didn't care that we were repeat customers. We always stay at this place and we've always booked over 5 rooms every time we visit. After this horrible experience, we are never going back again. The customer service was poor, and the fact that they blamed us and accused us was enough for us to tell the world and to never go back. Don't stay here, they aren't customer friendly and they don't care for their regular customers. It seemed that they were more interested in our money.

Hotel was excellent and the pool was amazing! The room were comfortable. Just one thing, booking through a travel agent vs direct booking varies in prices and we had to pay an extra fee.

Nice and cozy place with a huge pool. The hotel is quiet at nights. Oxxo convenient store is just a block away. Helpful staff. Large and very clean rooms. A powerful air-conditioner. TV. Delicious breakfast. We'd love to come again.

We really liked this hotel, breakfast included was a real plus. Very helpful staff especially at the restaurant, we found truly passionate people working there! Something to notice, there is no fridge in rooms and the shower was old and small , no water pressure at all, if they take care of this details could be a big difference. Away from the main center, which we found pleasant . Clean rooms. Great Ac. We'll be back!
