★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give this hotel 10 stars I would!! Feels like a home away from home. I stayed in the Dia suite. Spacious room, comfortable bed, lovely bathroom. World-class service and an amazing restaurant on property, too. I also had the most wonderful lymphatic detox massage that I HIGHLY recommend. Honestly why even bother staying at any of the other hotels in Ajijic?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place and quiet. Close to the start of the malecón. The employees were very helpful- especially the two women that were working the evening shift when I had phone difficulties. Would stay there again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a wonderful one-week stay at Hacienda del Lago last week! Upgraded room with no extra charge, and wonderful service each day. The staff were very friendly, helpful and fluent in English which was helpful as my Spanish is very poor. Enjoyed the continental breakfast (included) and waitstaff Diego got me hooked on Mexican coffee (brown sugar & cinnamon). Hotel seems very secure as someone is always manning the entrance gate and cameras installed around the property. I was late to a lab appointment one day and owner/manager Jaime even gave us a ride in his cool Tesla with gull wing doors! Convenient location close to restaurants and town square and beautiful view of the lake from second floor rooms.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I highly recommend this property. It's so peaceful and relaxing. I booked for 2 nights but am so relaxed I'd like to stay longer! Our room (Sol) has everything you need, wifi is good, food is lovely, staff are fabulous, nice heated pool and the Malecon is only 1 minutes walk so you can be in the town centre in a few minutes.
Wasn't too busy so we requested check out at 3.30pm to go to the airport....no problem, cheerfully agreed....that's often such a problem at hotels; extra charges, umming and ahhing.... Nothing's too much trouble for the hosts here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice and intimate hotel boutique. Beautiful room and very comfy bed. The food and beverages are good. The only points of improvement is the including breakfast is very bare, so you need to order from the menu and pay extra. The water of the swimming pool was very warm and they opened the pool at 11:30am instead of 8am on our day of check out.
