Best place in San Blas's, colonial style,swimming pool, very friendly personal. Book on line(booking.com) to save some bucks. Be aware San Blass is moskitos capital of the world ; get protected.

We had stayed here 30 years ago when it was simply a nice budget hotel, but upon return in April 2017 were amazed at Hacienda Flamingos transformation into a gorgeous destination hotel. A fitting culmination to its interesting history. The large beautiful interior courtyard is a museum of sorts and the grounds/ pool area are fabulous and include a small arboretum (mainly of fruit trees) and sweet little chapel. Our room was clean and well appointed, AC worked well, had a great bed and bathroom, too. In the right weather the windowed french doors leading to the shared patio courtyard could be left open with a 2nd set of screen french doors in place...really nice feature. We had our own set of chairs and table right outside our door. Wifi was good throughout. The 'fridge needed to be pulled out from the wall and plugged in to turn it on. Very little English spoken here but we got by during check in and again one evening when I tried to ask if the front doors would still be open when I returned from a late night on the plaza and at the San Blas Social Club. The last thing I wanted was to be locked out while my wife snoozed in our room. One of the caretakers, an older gentleman, caught my drift and said "24 hours"........but I think he bent the rules for me because when I did return he was waiting for me and then closed the doors. Nice. The pool area was generally pretty peaceful except when a dancercize class was being taught at the Cultural Center across the street (which you could get a good glimpse of thru the back gate). The Great-tailed Grackles were fun to watch as they seemed to congregate on the edge of the spa and dance and preen for each other throughout the day. Despite it no longer being the budget hotel of old Hacienda Flamingos still gets my vote as a great value.

Amazing hotel. Great breakfast included. Cool pool. 5 or 6 parking spots. Interesting game room with lots of history. Clean artfully decorated rooms. Staff is too glued to cellphones.

Very old Hacienda converted into a modern hotel with a historic theme. Very friendly service and we'll maintained inner court and pool area. Great place to relax and is located only two blocks from town's central plaza and one block from tourist wharf where you can get sight seeing and whale watching boats at very reasonable prices! In my opinion it's the best hotel in this seaport village. Also the price is very reasonable.

We stayed for just one night, and wished we'd stayed longer. The hotel is a couple of blocks from the town plaza; it serves breakfast (included) and is an old hacienda style. Lots of history. Reception was smooth as was buying beer from the cooler. The room, #14, was very comfortable and very clean. Can recommend it. Has a nice garden and outdoor pool.

Very nice hotel, sadly the front desk ladies not nice and unkind, even rude with customers. Make you feel that they are making the customer a favor. Any way San Blas has to learn to give good service to the visitors

Very cool old hotel with a courtyard designed for a good cigar and sipping tequila. A/C in the rooms was nice.
