Website pics are not accurate. Room was not clean. Towels were old with holes. The door lock was broken. the water in the sink was stuck. It was an umpleasant experience. The stuff offered to fix the door but, they did not. We away from this place.

This hotel advertises to be 150 m away from the central area, it's over 70p m away. Rooms are small and boring, the bathroom has a closet door and a window w/o glass directly to the room ? beds are hard and old just like all the furniture on it. Sink is outside the bathroom and it located two steps from the front door. Window don't lock shut and all local traffic will keep you awake. Night lamp is there but no electrical outlet to plug it in ? what a joke. Receptionist said that no second room keys were issue for guess own safety. REALLY No AC, .... I can go on and on, but no need to. Monteverde Hotel has nice commun areas yet lacks of good taste and comfort in every room. Pls shop around / stay somewhere else. Enjoy your stay in this friendly and Beautiful town

The rooms could use maintenance and better cleaning. The curtain rod to the room came off the wall, beyond repair. Was moved to another room, and there were roaches on the pillow and in the room. I couldn't sleep because of that. They turn off all the corridor light's and it is uncomfortably pitch dark. The restaurant does not have a good choice in food.

Is an OK hotel. I have been there twice, pros: has its own secure parking as San Miguel de Allende has a problem with parking so many of the city centre hotels don't have parking. They include a simple breakfast on the price although they charged $15 (pesos) per person extra which apparently is the tip... yet the waitors want tip... that was a bit strange to me as the breakfast was included. The rooms are ok, thes on the 3rd floor are not as nice as the ones in the ground floor, they are pretty basic. The ones on the 1st floor are a lot nicer and even have chimney. Ther are some beautiful green areas within the hotel area. A big patio if you want to sit and have a coffee. Cons: The doors lock ok but you can see the lock doesn't work from insidr, which was a bit of a problem as we have a toddler who was trying to scape a few times. There is a disabled lift but is extremely dangerous for young kids. We told the reception this as there is a metal door that can be locked but is so difficult to do that once you get on the lift, so that door is left u locked a lot. If a child opens it when is unlocked can fall and have a terrible accident or something worse. For that I would recommend that if you travelled with kids that you ask for a 1st floor room or just don't go to that place at all. The staff are friendly and helpful but some of the restaurant waitors are a bit rude, there was one very friendly who we really liked. The distance is not bad, however you have to bare in mind the main attractions are about 15min walk on a steep hill. So not great for people with mobility issues unless you get a taxi from the hotel to the main plaza but that can be pricey. I gave this hotel a 2 star review as although is good price for money and pratical in some things there is that eminent danger with the disabled lift which to me is a big deal. Is extremely dangerous!

Great location, close to centro, private parking, and staff was wonderful. Rooms are a bit outdated though. Overall, great stay!

This hotel is unique! It has its own secure parking and it's close to downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful. I met one of the owners who was extremely nice. I would definitely stay here again!
