HOTEL JAIBA MAHAHUAL - 77976 Mahahual

Very nice hotel, muy bueno lugar. If you want to escape the touristy areas and want to stay a bit out of the beaten path this hotel is a very good option. It's a little out of town but it's a 5 min bike ride to the beach or 2 min if you have a car. They have nice hammocks on the 3rd floor and give excellent recommendations. Staff is very sweet and checking in is very nice. Excellent place to stay in malahual!

The hotel looks amazing. Great details, materials. The people are really friendly. The rooms are clean. On the third floor the have hammocks which are great to sit in to read a book or drink a beer. Great airco. Good WiFi. Only thing; hard beds. It’s just outside Mahahual. Use a car or bike to get to the beach. We didn’t like Muhuahal as much as other towns we visited in Mexico. We only came for snorkeling with sea turtles.

I absolutely loved jaiba and their hospitality!! Amazing service right from the start, beautiful room, and lovely rooftop/patio with hammock for relaxing. We had stayed at a hotel on the actual beach right before coming here and it didn’t even compare, this was much nicer and cheaper. It’s worth the 20 pesos for a taxi to head to the main area, which is only a 3 minutes drive away. Another thing to note, the internet is excellent. My boyfriend had to work from home and had no issues where as the hotel on the beach was extremely spotty. Thank you for being so kind and welcoming, Jaiba, if we’re ever back in mahahual without a doubt we’re staying there again!

Nice, quiet, comfy place with the kindest staff but horrible wifi..

Loved it! Me and my soon-to-be-wife were the only guests in the hotel. The keepers and owners of the place are super warm and welcoming, we felt very well received the moment we arrived. The cleanliness was superb so it came as no surprise that they have a state certification for being the only hotel in Mahahual to follow the health and security requirements and procedures for Covid prevention. Rooms had a lot of space and the pool felt really private and cozy. I very much recommend this hotel and such its staff with such a high quality service and attention to detail. Thanks for everything Jaiba Hotel and we will certainly book with you again the next time we're in Mahahual.

Amazing hotel experience, excellent attention from the staff. They really go out of way to help guests with any question. Very clean, and beautifuly decorated. Couldn't be more happy.

Our stay at Jaiba were the best nights we've had during our trip to Yucatan. The girls are indeed very responsive and kind. The room and bed is superb. They arranged a last minute Collectivo for us, which we wouldn't have achieved ourselves quite frankly.

Very friendly and caring staff that works hard to give you the best experience possible. We felt very safe and well taken care of. Our room was upgraded for free. The room was spacious and spotless clean and had a great view. Lovely decor and good coffee. They make their own Shampoo. You can get bikes to go into town. And there was no distracting TV, which might not be for everyone, but we thought it was better this way and the WiFi was good! And all of this for a very good price. Dios bo'otik :)
