Hotel La Vista - 36000 Guanajuato

The place is a bit difficult to get to and out of in vehicle, but the veiw is worth it. Wonderful service, employees offer to take your bags. They ask for your vehicle's keys (if you come in a vehicle) to move it if needed. Great wifi connection. Splendid and beautiful big rooms.

The location has amazing view to Guanajuato, absolutely stunning. The room itself could have been better furnished. Making reservations was easy, but at the moment of checking in there was a mayor miscommunication from booking to the hotel. My payment for the stay had been charged weeks prior to my visit, yet the hotel hadn't received the payment from the website. The front desk reception lady was totally rude, and kept refusing to even look at my email with proffered of payment, confirmation number sent from booking and volaris at the moment I had played for the stay. After about 20 min of arguments she had a representative from booking confirm that the payment had been made since before. She didn't even apologize, after basically accusing me of not making my payment. Putting that aside, the rest of the staff was polite and very helpful. The hotel has 2 access points, the front which is the scenic view ( but lots of steps to climb to get to reception) and the one in the back for car access. Guanajuato can be a party place at night, it was nice to be at a distance in which you can enjoy the view and yet get some sleep. As long as I dont have the same misunderstanding in the payment, I would probably stay there again.

We booked a room for my mother to stay for a few nights at La Vista during her time in Guanajuato. While the view is indeed spectacular, the hotel itself is very lacking, given the price: bedding was cheap and insufficient for the weather (it's winter and dips into the low 30s at night), no heater could be provided to warm up the very chilly room, bathroom amenities were sub-par (the towel appeared to a recycled gym towel that said "Sports Planet" on it) and hot water ran out quickly, and my mother even got locked in the bathroom due to a very poorly installed door handle. Service was terrible and they had the booking for the wrong day, despite the email I'd received a month earlier confirming the dates.

Awesome view and staff was extremely friendly. Very clean, safe, and comfortable will most Def stay again. We love Guanajuato!

The place is nice for the price and the view is great. Some negative points: *the hotel location is a bit difficult to find (Google maps helped). *They don't go the extra mile, e.g. we asked if we could leave the car at the hotel parking for two more hours after check out but this was not possible. We understand they have a small parking space, but they can keep an eye on the car and even park it on the street if necessary. * Power outlets not conveniently located in the room.

If I could give 0 stars I would. They do not offer to take your luggage to their private room if you arrive before check-in. When we were trying to leave the room for food we noticed the odd man gave us the wrong key when we went to tell him he gave us a weird and suspicious excuse. As soon as I walked in I immediately saw how we had gotten scammed. The pictures they are showing online have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with how the actual hotel looks. Online the pictures are very nice showing a spacious, organized, and most of all clean room. None of the above were true. The toilet in our bathroom was stained. It had stains of feces running all the way to the floor. We walked up to reception to have someone clean it for us and the man there simple grabbed a rag, put soap and quickly dragged the rag over the toilet. The couch cloth was stained with red and brown stains. The bed was hand made and seemed like very cheap and bad material, it was 2 bed post put together to make it seem like a king bed. The very ugly table and chairs were all stained and dirty. The floor was filled with dirt. The hotel all around was disgusting and filthy. Left immediately to another hotel. Was going to fight/argue for a refund , however, after reading and going through the reviews decided it was not worth arguing with them about a refund. As we left we were not asked the reason for our early departure. Instead we were the ones who told the man we were leaving because the apartment was disgusting and filthy and all he had to say was , “ yeah, okay”. We first booked the hotel because of the picturesque views, but this place is MOST definitely not worth the views. And the other staff which I believe were the owners of the house/hotel were very weird and odd ladies. Not professional or customer service people at all! Do not book here place is disgusting!! WE GOT SCAMMED SO YOU DON’T HAVE TOO!!

Only good thing it's the Great view to the city... other than that, bad service, no toilet paper, no hot water in the shower, no parking space. And the last but not least, hard to get to the hotel, it's in a ver complicated place to get.

I wish I can give this hotel have star. It's expensive and horrible, really dirty and the bathroom too small. Shower head didn't work well and they only give you two bath towels, no wash clothes or hand towels. If you visit their website it says breakfast included and that is a lie, because they do not offer any breakfast. Inside the room they have a list of prices in case you damaged something or stained towel or sheet. This was a suite for two people and the price was 1,200.00
